Fights where a boxer got ko'd by a bodyshot on the beltline?

    If it wasnt a low blow and just a bodypunch it would have been one of the first times where I have seen a guy get down in pain and ko'd from a shot like that.
    I remember RJ stopping Hill with a brutal shot to the ribs or a Bhop vs DLH livershot (also controversial). GGG vs Macklin.
    Only real stomach punch ko I can think of is Morales vs Zaragoza.

    So I think Usyk either got hit low or since he obviously disliked bodyshots milked it to get some time to recover but would have gotten up had the ref started counting.

    Weird fight all in all.

    The title should be "on the belly button line".Because some boxers may wear shorts where they should be, and that's not the same as when the belly button is hidden inside shorts(Usyk's "low blow" situation)
    Fury wears his shorts almost up to his ears, that doesn't mean a punch on the line of his shorts is same as other belt line punches and of course that doesn't mean his testicles are there.Fury's testicled are not near his heart :) And Usyk's testicled should be lower then his belly button that was hidden somewhere inside his sorts, where that punch hurt him

    Ward vs Kovalev 2. I thought Ward's knockout punches were a little low, but honestly he was dominating that fight anyway, and Kovalev didn't seem to want to continue.

    Punching in the belt line is not a low blow, it has never been, it will neve be.

    Only the referee gets to decide that, and in this case the referee disagrees with your assessment.

    Jirov did it a lot.

    I wonder if Usyk has a hernia. The punch wasn't low, but he also seemed like he wasn't faking.

    It is important to understand that the waistline is defined as the imaginary horizontal line through the navel to the top of the hips. This is so regardless of where the boxer places their trunks and or protector cup. The referee should establish the waistline at center ring in the final instructions.

    Any blow that lands below the established waistline is a foul. Including on the side and on the hips below the waistline.

    Dubois shorts were higher than Usyks and Usyk had no problem landing body shots above the belt.
