I just watched Whitaker vs. Mayweather and Sweet Pea didn't fight at all like the defensive master he's known to be. He traded with and beat up Roger, instead of boxing. What are some of your picks?

    Whitaker actually did that alot.

Mayweather vs Ndou I think was a bit out of character.

Hagler-Hearns could be a good shout too. Marvin did not usually come storming out like he did against Tommy.

Hagler against Hearns was the first to come to mind.

Whitaker could and did fight often, such as in the Tito fight, and did quite well for the first 7 rounds. He never really resorted to using that style as a gameplan, but you usually saw plenty of him willing to trade with guys like McGirt, De La Hoya, even Vasquez etc just to prove he could, or to get back at them for a landed shot, as if to say "How dare you".

Anyways, Frazier in his rematch with Foreman was boxing and moving and actually doing quite well before getting KO'd a bit later(the 5th) than in the first fight.

Yeah, that's what I meant with the Whitaker-Mayweather fight. For the fights you mentioned, he did trade, but only in spurts, kind of like you said. With Mayweather, I felt him resorting to that type of fight was his actual gameplan, which was rare for him to do.

Peter outboxing Toney in there second fight, It was a surprising sight, because I really thought the only way Peter would beat Toney was TKO/KO.

Wladimir vs. Peter is another example. That was a different (worse) stage of confidence for Klitschko than he has now, though.

Although more subtle, Morales in his first fight against Pacquiao. That was one of Erik's best performances, in my opinion, based on his declining skills at that time.

    Duran vs Hagler
Duran came out boxing. He was the counterpuncher in this one.
