Last night's fight between Conlan and Wood i thought was gonna be a stinker because I've never seen an entertaining fight involving Conlan. But what are some other fights you was expecting the fans to be booing by round 3 that turned out to be wars?

    Some of mine

    Wladimir Klitschko against Anthony Joshua
    Erislandy Lara against Jarrett Hurd
    Frankie Gavin against Sam Egginton

Pretty much the whole last few years of Cory Spinks' career, when his legs were gone and he by necessity adapted to become a pocket brawler (except still retaining some above the waist slickness, a`la Toney).

    Frankie Gavin against Sam Eggington.

Struck me for a while that Mick was just needing a big occasion to get up for and bring the best out of him. What he showed last night seems to confirm as much — he boxed some, fought some, and he did both quite beautifully and excitingly.

He's got a lot of balls, heart and self-belief, he can come again.

Just noticed Gavin-Eggington was already mentioned in the OP. I'll nominate Rigo-Ceja and Lara-Angulo, from the last decade or so.

Always felt Bradley was underrated value outside of the Alexander fight (the stench of which had more to do with Devon than Tim). He was just quite dominant in his 140 days, which reduces the suspense in a contest, but the bouts with Holt and Lamont were enjoyable to watch.
