Fights where a fighter was unable to avenge a controversial loss/draw in the rematch

    Another fight worth a mention should be Roman Gonzalez vs Srisaket Sor Rungvisai 1. First fight was a close but clear win for Chocolatito IMO. He was KO'd cold in the rematch after Rungivsai came to prove a point. I honestly don't think we would have gotten a rematch had Chocolatito were given the win, but it still proved that SRR was no joke as he went on to beat Estrada.

    It was indeed a close fight and the 'robbery' part is grossly exaggerated but it was still seen as somewhat controversial.
    It's a shame how people were so dismissive of SSR prior to the rematch. He really did make sure that his first win was legit.

    Can't forget about Bernard Hopkins vs Jermain Taylor. First fight was close with many seeing Hopkins as doing enough to win. Hopkins was again dethroned by Taylor in the rematch.
