This is the best example yet. AA definitely wasn't the same at 140. He landed tons of right hands in that fight that ended dudes at 130/135.

I don't know if I agree on any of these. Fury and Vitali hit plenty hard. Chavez had an iron chin.

I'm torn bigtime on this one. His one punch KO or Rooney was eye opening, and while pretty much shot he punched Costello out of there.

I mean, it's sorta logical he lost a bit but christ he still had some. One of his right hands belted Pryor's head back so far he was looking at the overhead lights. All of Pryor's kd's in his prime were balance affairs from memory. He took some incredible shots that night.

If Troy Dorsey had the power of Roberto Duran, he'd be called Destroy Horsey.

Very true. I remember that shot that snapped Pryor's head back. You have a great point. Maybe the fight was decided more by Pryor's chin that AA's power. I'm sure he still would have closed out a lot of guys with that right hand at 140 but Pryor was just different.

Fury and Vitali do not hit hard
Especially for heavyweights and especially for their size

If they could crack they'd win those fights easily

Especially Vitali cause Lennox was kind of shot

I reckon he would have beaten a lot of extremely good 140 pounders that night. I mean, who would have taken all those shots that Pryor did.

It certainly would have when he fought Davey Moore. I know he was pretty much dead at that weight by that time, but I think it would have tipped the scales for him.

Eddie Cotton against Jose Torres for the light heavyweight title - Eddie boxed nice and was also employing an inside fight against the hard-hitting Torres - and this was at the age of 40. But that lack of power from cotton enabled Torres to forget defense and win it on his power alone.

Chatchai Sasakul against Manny Pacquiao - Oh, man, Sasakul boxed like a dream and had the very young Manny swinging at ghosts. But the Thai had little power, which enabled Manny to keep tearing away even though he was totally outboxed and confused. Manny ended up with the title from one wild haymaker in the 7th.

Worst robbery ever I know we all have the one that we say is the worst. That is the worst one I have ever seen damn shame they didn’t give him the decision. Just had to vent thank you.

Ali- Norton - Ali could pop but not tipping point power but his speed and snap - anyone with tipping point power takes out Norton - also pressure fighters with stamina were trouble for Ali and Holmes-

I think if Chris Algieri had more snap to his shots he might have been more successful. As it stands he was a pretty decent boxer with a lot of speed, high work rate and good foot work
