I wouldn't consider Dempsey a swarmer... he was more slugger, a puncher with potential to end the fight with single shots. Dempsey almost never was a volume puncher in the classic sense.

Buddy McGirt vs. Frankie Warren II is a great example of a swarmer getting outboxed AND destroyed, all in one.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Jesus Chavez is another.

Actually Dempsey on film hardly ever ended a fight with a single blow(unless u count sharkey fight after he hit sharkey with a combo inna BALLS!)...In fairness, the fulton and morris fights are not filmed and apparently they were devastating 1-2 punch knockouts

True enough, but I still would consider Dempsey a puncher, and NOT a swarmer.

Antuofermo vs minter 2 is a great choice..You might even be able to make a case for the first fight. although that one was super close and one of the hardest fights to try and score.

He was more a boxer-puncher/in-fighter than either slugger or swarmer.

You're so right about that one...Minter owned Vito in that rematch, but the first fight is even more interesting, as Minter the slugger, the puncher, turned boxer and successfully employed a very smart, disciplined strategy in effectively outboxing Antuofermo. I've always been somewhat intrigued by that fight, and consider it Minter's best effort, and rate him higher as a fighter for that reason than most fans do.

I don't think minter was ever a true slugger cobra, usually he was a classic standup technician in the mold of Benvenuti, Kingpetch, Buchanan and so on.he just had a bit of the Saad mentality in him and would get involved when he didn't need to at times, which was a big weakness considering his fragile skin.

His destruction of Tonna in their rematch is probably worth a mention here as well now that i think about it.

Minter does not get much recognition for anything but losing to hagler, usually. I probably rate him higher than most as well!

I wouldnt consider Corrales a swarmer at all to tell the truth.

And in my personal opinion Duran vs Leonard II is a good example but I do have my reservations for it fitting into this thread. As Duran was more stalking a very mobile and generally quite passive Leonard..in fact the times he managed to get Ray on the ropes and did swarm him we among some of his best, only if fleeting, moments in that fight. Neither fighter was doing anything really of note until Ray had like 1 1/2 dominant rounds and Roberto just quit. I think the scores indicate how little was in it in the early stages.
I think that fight was quite possibly turning into an example of the thread title but up until the point Duran called it quits I dont think it qualifies.
But as I said a fair enough example..its just maybe not on the level of some of the others.
