There's always cases of guys moving up or down where there is a difference in natural size.

I think you guys are still missing the NOTICEABLE differnce in size AND speed aspect. Some of you are talking about miniscule differences.

Think PBF/JMM fight. This is a clear example of the noticeably bigger guy who is also noticeably quicker. Keeping that in mind, when has the noticeably slower and smaller guy actually won outside of the HW division?

can't think of many good examples. maybe the penalosa-gonzalez fight? but penalosa's speed is noticeably deceptive.

So many of the examples being mentioned are not what the thread starter is asking for.......

.....there just are'nt many fights out there in history where the bigger and quicker fighter lost to the smaller and slower fighter.

Quintana vs Williams is an exellent example, but I attribute it more to Williams taking Quintana lightly.
Quintana got blitzed in the rematch.

At the world class level, its really hard to name examples.......I'm sure there are a few more out there, Simon Brown's KO of Terry Norris, but that also is attributed to Norris' weak whiskers and against Norris likely taking Brown lightly......like in the Williams Quintana fight, Norris easily avenged that loss as well.

I'm sure there are a few more examples, but I'd bet in each, the smaller man had a significant strenghth advantage moving up.......nothing like the physical disparities between Mayweather and JMM, where JMM turned out not to have any physical advantages going in.

Though not to the extent in the difference between Mayweather and Marquez, taylor held a significant edge in quickness and speed.....and I will say Taylor was even stronger physically, though not by much against Chavez.

With most of the physical advantages in Taylor's side, that indeed was a superb win by JC Chavez.
