Wilfred shot at 25? I dont think so

if anyone was shot here, it was Hamsho at 31 and taking 55 stiches in the face two years earlier

I dont like to say this Suzie but dont be a fool

it was surprising performance by Ray. Hagler way too slow and methodical but Ray looked good as a middleweight if not very strong physically

In my view, probably his best over all performance of his career, and in some ways, improved over the welterweight that whipped Benitez

On the Holyfield-Toney fight I don't believe Evander was completely shot, well past his prime yes but not shot, he went on to beat Oquendo, Savarese, went 12 with Ibraghimov and lost a close decision to Valuev after the Toney bout, hardly the resume of a completely shot fighter.
Toney was excellent that night and IMO would have given any version of Holyfield problems.

Hagler still had enough left in the tank to beat any other 160 in the world not named Leonard.

How can you argue Leonard was in his prime in 1987 coming off a 5 year layoff with 1 fight in between? Up 2 weight classes from his best fighting weight?

When you consider he was off for pretty much five years to fight at that level it was a hell of a performance .. that being said he was the younger man and Hagler was slipping ..

I don't buy the Hagler was slipping thing as much as others here as why he lost the fight..He trained hard for the fight.. Yes he was slipping, but that was a coin flip decision imo , and had he won you wouldn't be hearing it .. you would be hearing Ray had to long of a layoff and going up to MW for the first time ever and facing a strong Hagler, etc ... I see the fight as Hagler mentally underestimating Ray, coming out switch stance first 2 rounds, thinking he was going to easily out box Ray .. Wrong gameplan and Ray successfully getting in his head throughout the fight .... Outstanding performance by Ray, one of his best, not in Prime, long layoff and moving up 1st time at MW which is equal risk to the Hagler slipping thing, outpointed Hagler and got the win .. Probably the closest championship fight I've ever seen

    Joe Louis v Jersey Joe.
Bomber fought Conn II in June 46, then got a first round kayo on Tami Maurello (who'd won 12 straight) in September 46. Everyone figured he was as good as ever. He then took 15 months off. Joe Baksi was offered the challenge but knocked it back because he figured he wasn't up to it. So JJW got the shot in December 47....

Sorry, who was the shot one here? The guy having his first boxing match or the guy having his 50th?

Tszyu coming of a impressive ko of Mitchell n was the favourite v hatton, but age injuries n time out of the ring derailed him n he never fought again.
Can add in the low blows too.
Also give props to hatton for great performance.

This was more a case that Wlad never fought guys as good as Fury and Johsua. No way Wlad was shot, he had slowed down a bit but but certainly not shot

No Wlad was shot. I was in attendance for the Wlad Jennings fight and realized how much he slipped. 40 is 40 in this sport. And he had a ton of fights as a pro and amateur. He waxes both Fury and Joshua just 3 years earlier had he faced them
