Pretty sure his footwork got plenty of credit.

No sarcasm. The way he kept lining up the right against Pac was textbook.

    Nunn KO1 Kalambay

This is always considered a bit of a fluky win. Maybe , maybe not. All I know is that Nunn's right foot was at least a foot outside of Kalambay's left foot when he threw the knockout punch. That is perfect execution in the righty vs lefty matchup. Nunn maneuvered to a place where only he coul do damage and then he executed.

I loved Kalambay and still do. I hate this fight. But I don't buy that it was a fluke either.

Hopkins-Trinidad is the one the comes to mind. He probably get plenty of credit for out boxing Trinidad but I feel that most of the work was done between punches where Hopkins never let Trinidad get set and fire.

He stayed moving at angles and turning Felix. This more than anything opened he door wide for the stunning upset.

Foreman-Moorer. Foreman had to keep Michael circling into his right using slow, steady footwork and using his left hand. Granted, Moorer made George's life a lot easier by being guided without much trouble into George's right hand.

 YOu've got the key to my heart.

I've said this before. Regardless of Sumbu being caught cold, Nunn's slip and step to get himself into position put Sumbu in no man's land. Great shot. Heartbreaking for me.

Flea, aside from being a huge Kalambay fan, I'm a southpaw too. This move is secondary only to air and water :D

    It was the speed:yep

Nunn could get into position and get off a punch as quick as any middle could.kalambay had slightly overcommited in stepping in too far on the jab and gave nunn a slight opening which he capitalised on, but slower fighters would likely not have been able to get a shot like that off.

Pity Nunn hardly ever threw punches like that or he could have been special.9 times out of 10 when presented with fighters giving him small windows of opportunity for counters he would pose and not take the chance or throw some combo with little on it, more designed to frustrate than hurt.

Yes, however he still won the fight because of footwork. Had he not been able to move Moorer into his right hand with calculated steps and with his left hand, he would have never have landed that now famous 1-2 in the first place.
