You obviously didnt see the fight. Dawson was beating Adamek in the 12th the same as he was beating him in the 1st.

Well, this is an interesting one. I've always believed that Lennox Lewis is by far the best 12 round heavyweight, and would probably beat anyone in history over that distance. However, over 15 I can see him getting gassed and losing to a lot of the guys in the 70s, who mixed technique and stamina. In his defence, Lennox trained for 12 round fights.

To me, it's too difficult to extrapolate what would happen in a longer fight. Everything would have differed, from training to pace of the early parts of the fights.

We're not talking 12 rounds, we're talking 15 rounds, I saw the fight, I know that he was outboxing him in the 12, but he wouldn't have lasted another 9 minutes. Dawson was still shaken from that knockdown and he was getting tired. Adamek would have down it like Marciano against Walcott (I've seen bits and pieces of this fight so may'be this isn't a fair comparison) but Walcott was ahead of Marciano after 12 rounds, but Marciano KO Walcott in the 13th. Adamek would have done the same.

Cotto still beats Clottey over 15. He loses a clear decision to Mosley though over 15.

I would say yes to all three. Plus Mosley would have beaten Cotto. There are many many fights like this, thats why I wish they were still 15 rounders. Bute V Andrade as well.

Don't forget boxers who looked tired after 12 rounds may just have paced themselves differently if they 'd have known the fight was a 15 rounder. Its far too simple to say that because a fighter was tired after 12, he would have lost a 15 rounder.
