wow yeah great one. uprooted most of the forums when it happend. a cute precise southpaw with almost perfect technique against the smaller already koed reletivly slow and predictable slugger....totally obliterated.

a good poster.....ok a poster who had a load of posts left out of disgust when it happend

Another 1 not mentioned yet was that Bowe--Golata 2 fight. I was never all that high on Golata and thought the guy was probably not even mediocre in the ringsmarts department. but there he is going out there and doing the same things to get himself dq'd against a guy ready to be taken. And Duva was pretty much having a heart attack telling him what not to do. and this was after all the work Lou had done going into the bout to prevent fouling. How frustrating it must have been in that Duva camp dealing with the guy and just get him to listen and obey.

Ted Sander against Alex Ramos, Trevor Berbick against Greg Page, and Bernard Taylor against Eusebio Pedroza.

Carlos Maussa vs Vivian Harris was a shocker to me at the time. Completely unexpected.

Best example of an unexpected outcome in a boxing match, has probably gotta be Douglas Knocking Tyson out

    Two words: Eddie Futch.

Griffin didn't want to pay Futch for the rematch, so Futch walked. Check that result.

Hill KO1 Tiozzo was the first one that sprung to mind. More the manner of victory than the actual winner.

In his last professional fight, in 1939, Slapsie Maxie Rosenbloom, known for being a very skilled but very light-hitting boxer, scored a third-round knockout over Al Ettore.

    Fenech-Neson 2.

Here in Australia Fenech was seen as a sure thing after getting jobbed in the first fight after working over and battering the thought to be past it Nelson. With the homeground and crowd in Jeffrey's favour we all thought it'd be a formality so the subsequent arse kicking Azumah administered was a huge shock.

I have to admit I didn't see De La Hoya- Pacquiao playing out like it did.

Hearns-Hill was a surprise as well. The man thought to be the puncher put on a boxing clinic against the younger man thought to have boxing skills in his favour. I should've known better than to undersell the abilities of the Hitman.

off the top of my head a more rcent example - ward vs kessler

i wasn't high on ward at the beginning of super 6 but id thought he may eek out a close decision if kessler failed to ko him...never did i think id see ward not only outbox but out punch kessler...staggered him a couple of times...he tore kessler apart in a one sided manner

    Jr. Jones vs. Barrera II
