I think a lot of the ones named so far were surprising but not shocking/unbelievable.
Like c'mon, it was never inconceivable that B-Hop could school Pavlik nor that Mosley would beat Margarito... or Margarito would beat Cotto... etc.

Others are obvious ones which we all should be naming (Tyson-Buster Douglas, Foreman-Moorer, etc) so I won't really shed too much light on those.. but here:

    1) JMM winning so many rounds after that shell-shocking first round vs. Pacquiao (1). Staying in the fight itself for so long was shocking.. never mind the fact that he won so many rounds & was outboxing Manny for large portions, at times absolutely dominating.

    2) Pacquiao - DLH (no comment needed)

    3) Tarver - RJJ .2

    4) Tito - Winky (I always respected Winky and didn't overlove on Tito.. keeping in perspective that a good technical crafty boxer who could create difficult angles & use smart footwork to ruin Tito's rangefinding could cause him hella problems.. however I didn't think Winky would dominate Tito SO DAMN HEAVILY.. worse than even B-Hop did!)

    5) Mosley-Mayorga finish at the last second. I don't give a **** what HBO were saying trying to make it sound like Mosley was schooling Mayorga -- he wasn't. Mayorga was outhustling him for a large part while Mosley wasn't throwing much, looked lacklustre but what he did throw was landing. It was far from a good performance. And if it went to the cards (idk what the cards were at the time -- never found out) but it would not have been inconceivable that Mayorga would've been up on all 3 cards. The way Mosley did it, in such beautiful fashion in the dying seconds of the fight.. was immensely surprising given the rest of the fight he fought -- LACKLUSTER!

    6) Nate Campbell - Diaz

    7) Glen Johnson - Chad Dawson (i can't believe how GJ didn't win that!)

    8) Morales - Pacquiao 1. Morales truly was past it and as far as his physical ability went, he was aging in the ring fast! I never thought he'd be able to sustain such a beautiful performance for more than 3-4 rounds when his body was breaking, he was beginning to struggle to make 130 & he was up against a fighter with such quick feet + hands as Manny (ofcourse I was rooting for Erik all the way!).

Their 2nd and 3rd fights showed just how great of a stand that first fight was by Erik.
He said, **** it, if imma go.. imma go out on my shield & he made an epic stand... + rolled back the years once last time.

Oh i almost forgot mosley knocking out margo was a huge shock to me. after that punch mosley landed which started of the combination and knocked margo down for the first tym in the fight, i couldnt speak. and then the knockout had me celebrating for days

I have to say that if someone told me the outcome of most of the fights named in this thread before it happened I would have pointed at them and laughed. except the pacquiao vs dela hoya / hopkins vs pavlik becuz as some of you myt remember I guessed the outcome of those before it happened

    exactly man!

& then the way the roles were switched up, Vernon became the heavy-bag & Mayorga played the killah, almost taking Vernon's head off his spine too. That was shocking n all.

Didn't Leija have his ear drum busted in that fight though, or is that what you mean?

I remember Golota/Bowe being quite a shocker when I watched it as a youngin... Going in, I thought man this white guy is gonna get SMASHED UP! Not so much... He had some good skills, that Golota. Shame what happened to him thru the years...

I never thought one day that Hopkins will dominate a fighter like Pavlik...I for one thought that Pavlik was going to outwork Hopkins due to Hopkins last fight with Calzaghe...Hopkins looked very tired in the mid rounds of the Calzaghe fight and I thought that father time would be his downfall in the Pavlik fight....MAN, WAS I WRONG!:patsch Hopkins put on a clinic and I was in shock yet impressed on how he negated Pavliks best weapon (big right hand) and made him look like a rookie! He put on a performance for the ages...Boxed beautifully and damn near won every round.

:good Hopkins always seems to do that. After Tito destroyed Joppy, I thought he would do well against B-Hop. I was surpised by how easy the fight seemed for Hop.

    Pac on Oscar
    Winky on Tito
PW on Margarito-never belived that PW could take Margos pressure at that stage
Gatti 2 round KO over Leonard Dorin-all the boxing fans here in Romania expected a war , but ended-up with a deadly uppercut to the body in the second round.
