JCC, Kostya ZOO, Izzy Vasquez, Roberto Duran...a lot of them "quit" You live to fight another day sometimes.
STFU NOOB!!! Too bad Cotto does not have the power needed to hurt that BRICK WALL of a fighter, 280 punches landed should do that, normally. :hey
In the days following July 26th I often used Alexis as an example of 'quitting' not being a bad thing, that in fact it was a SMART thing to do.
I don't really like seeing brutal knockouts of any type. People get excited by the drama, but watching someone who has just had their BRAINS SCRAMBLED clammouring for consciousness does my stoumach in. What you are wittnessing is someone getting brain damage and there is always a very real chance it mught be permanent.
If i was a traitor to my country and you were to torture me for answers, just strap my eyelids open ala "A Clockwork Orange", and replay the Corrales-Clottey fight, over and over again......... I'll tell you anything you wanna know :barf
Watched both multiple times, enjoyed what were essentially masterclasses in skill and strategy... I only watched Benn vs Dog killer once, the ending was just ****ed up for so many reasons and knowing in retrospect the further outcomes it's all very macarbe.
He got up, and then once the ref waved them on again he walked backwards and kneeled in the corner before Margo could engage him again, essentially showing the ref that he wanted no more. This is a fight that i struggle to rewatch, pretty sad seeing Cotto being beat up like that but live it was an amazing spectacle seeing Margo absorb that punishment and keep coming.
