I'd agree if Bradley didn't get a career high payday out of not fighting him^

A win over Pacquiao could do enormous things for his career

Jones-Hopkins 2 Hopkins hadn't changed much at all from the early 90s, and never had the tools to beat prime Roy. Fight should have happened, but money was important to both guys.

Hopkins-Calzaghe(earlier) literally all Calzaghe has to offer is workrate. Could have been a good scalp for Bernard.

Butes biggest problem seems to be his chin. He boxed on equal terms with Froch, it's just that Froch made a bet on his own granite chin and walked Bute down in a frenzy performence.

Ward has average power, and I think Butes boxing abillity and speed would make him look better against Ward then he did against Froch. I dont think Ward, who is a very catious fighter, would walk him down like Froch did.

But ultimately, I think Wards refined boxing skill, mental strength and inside game would triumph. Would be a cool fight to watch.

Imagine the build up now with Bradley vs Pac had he destroyed Khan? If Peterson beat him, Bradley only would have beaten him more convincingly in that fight.
His best payday, his biggest win, and it'd do wonders for selling Bradley/ Pac.

The Pacquiao bout is close enough to being win-win anyway. However, IMO, Bradley beats the version of Khan that Peterson beat. The Pacquiao bout would have been the reward.

Bradley defeating Casaymor in preparation for Pacquiao.

    Or.

Bradley defeating Khan (aswell as unifying/becoming undisputed at 140lbs) in preparation for Pacquiao.

    ?

Bradley defeating Khan would have also brought him more viewers leading up to the Pacquiao bout, possibly leading to an even higher payday. Multiple angles to sell the fight, 'Bradley has just beaten one Roach fighter, coming for the next'...etc.

    This, also.

:huh I don't think Gamboa ever turned that one down. The reason that fight never got made was Top Rank and Top Rank alone.

Agree 100%. Froch beating Bute is no indication that Ward beats Bute or handles him easily. People need to stop assuming things like that. I've always thought that Bute does better against Ward than Froch.

Eh, I think any additional money Bradley would make vs. Pacquiao if he had defeated Khan would have been marginal at best. Such a win also wouldn't make him a draw either because despite HBO and Golden Boy's proclamations to the contrary, Khan is not close to being a superstar in the US.

Pavlik against Abraham. The Pavlik that beat Taylor beats Abraham 8-9 times out of ten for me.

Funny, Ward wouldn't fight Bute because he said that Bute was unproven and unworthy. Now it appears that Ward was right after all.

So what the **** are you talking about?
