Went to Enzo McPhilbin on friday (was my first live fight) and loved it. Cracking atmosphere (shanes fans were really vocal).

I also have tickets for Froch Bute.

 

What a first live fight to witness, enjoy Bute vs Froch gonna be a great night.

Dunne v Cordoba is still one the most enjoyable fights I've ever seen as it happened. And that was watching on a crappy RTE stream. Must've been quality being there

 

I was proud of our sport that night (Dunne-Cordoba). As Cordoba was carried from on stretcher that was emotional.

That would be one of my 'wish i was there' fights.

 

The venue (civic hall) was great for boxing and had a cracking view of the action (although at the time i wasnt aware of the "2 minute round!!)

Looking forward to Froch Bute - gonna be class. Also want to get to a york hall show some time before the years out!

York Hall is amazing really, not a bad view in the place believe me on that. The bar is cramped to the max though! but the atmosphere is great.

It's not just any government leisure centre! something special about that place.

Only been to one Calzaghe v Hopkins, not the best fight but great atmosphere!

 

We went to Hatton-Tzsyu, Hatton-Maussa and Calzaghe-Lacy. All three were cracking but pesky kids have stopped me going to more, recently.

(My own kids' childcare needs, that is, not random kids hanging around outside the venue stopping me getting in!)

My first was Mayweather vs Hatton, not been to that many since.

Fury vs Big John (1st fight) - the crowd there was fantastic
Prizefighter Heaveyweights (Audley Harrison) - Was sad that this was moved from York Hall to Excel, wasn't a great night
A few Tony Conquest fights - he is the local lad!

 

Thankfully Thiam did get his moneys worth - nothing.

Had to go all the way to Limerick for that.:verysad At least I got to see Mike Perez fight twice in a night.

Yeah, 'twas mental alright. I was pretty indifferent at first, what with me being a pretty big fan of both at the time. By the end of it though I was delighted to see Maestrito crumple to the canvas. I've apologised every day since though, caught up in the drama and all that.:conf
