I mean a fight that you loved that isn't often spoken about, wasn't particularly meaningful or a championship fight, and isn't consider as one of the greats but was just a great fight.

For me Ortiz Vs Berto. Was on my edge of my seat the whole time. Bombs thrown from both guys, both guys going down on numerous occasions, both down in the same round and went the distance. I often re-watch it. Great fight!

    Sal Sanchez v Azumah Nelson

    Chris Eubank v Carl Thompson

Sumbu Kalambay v Mike McCallum 1 (grudgingly)

Holyfield v Qawi (maybe considered great)

Micky Ward vs. Emmanual Augustus Burton. These two guys are two of my all time favorites and they put on a great show on a random Friday night.

Smoger was the ref, and it ended up being a classic.

    Carl Froch-Jean Pascal

I watched this already knowing the result and it was still exciting

That was a great thread. I have a feeling this is going to be one too.

It seems to me, that the best fights consistently happen on under the radar (at least to the general public) cards. It's so many of the fights that only the fans see that keep us hooked.

Rodriguez vs. Wolak 1, for example. Froch vs. Kessler was only for die hards here in America and it was sensational. So many great examples.

You want to see one of the bravest performances under brutal pressure that goes under the radar?
Check out Dennis Andries refusing to stay down against Tommy Hearns.
And watch McCallum dismantle Kalule and Curry.

I really need to stop bringing up Mike McCallum.I'll be discussing him in the lounge at this rate.

    Fabulous shouts HR.
Still not comfortable watching Johnny though.
Jorge Paez and Livingstone Bramble!! Two blasts from my past there.

Barrera bouncing up v Sanchez is a particular favourite too.

Holyfield vs. Bert Cooper. Cooper came to fight that night and put up a hell of an effort.

Maidana vs. Soto Karass was a damn good fight on the same night as Chavez Jr. vs. Martinez. I've rewatched it a couple times.
