Yeah, I think people overestimate how much time it takes to watch a lot of boxing. I mean, before quarantine I watched one or two fights a day and that was never any more than an hour and a half at a time. Numbers build up pretty quick.

#5. Bowe vs Holyfield - not too many HW fights that I watch regularly. But this is definitely the one I've seen the most (that or Ali-Williams). I love the how eager Holyfield was to exchange with a guy so much bigger.

#4. Gonzalez vs Letterlough - A little hidden gem, where 'my guy' won. Crazy action, crazy drama and even without ATG skills, it's just an awesome brawl.

#3. Chang vs Tokashiki - This is just chaos. 108 brawls are often the best, this is certainly an example.

#2. Charles vs Marshall II - Aside from the minor blip at the start, Charles set the world on fire with this performance. A certified ATG didn't have a patch on him, and Charles took him apart piece by piece. It's one of those 'best at his best' type fights.

#1. Muhammad vs Johnson I - One of the greatest LHW fights ever, between two of my favourites. I don't know how many times I've seen it, but I do that I can recall it, round by round, from memory.

There's others that may take a place this high, but these were the ones that sprung to mind before anything else. This list could be entirely LHW based, or more specifically, entirely Ezzard Charles based.

Tommy's great fights are just so easy to watch. Even watching him loosen up pre-fight is a joy to behold. I still watch the Duran fight over and over just to marvel at how fast he is once he has warmed up a bit. One left hook in the second is nano-second quick and it still missed. I know Duran wasn't peak that night but I wonder how much difference - on that night with Tommy in that form - it would have made. I don't see anyone surviving what Tommy brought that night.

I'm a bit bias because of the era I grew up watching, some older fights I only understand the significance in hindsight so I miss out on the significance. Not all of them are huge significant wins but I liked the way they unfolded or the skillset a fighter showed. Some of my favourites are:
    Trinidad vs vargas
    Jirov vs toney
    Cotto vs judah
    Mayweather vs corley
    Mayweather vs chavez
    Pacquiao vs cotto
    Hopkins vs trinidad
    Morales vs Ayala

This post enticed me to watch it again last night.

When Little Red hit them right, they stayed hit.

Every bit as fun and as good as I remembered. Thanks!
