Mayweather got mauled, and his counters weren't landing as much as Showtime wanted you to believe. The fight was officially a MD, despite Mayweather being the star attraction. The Vegas crowd seemed to believe Maidana won. Most media scored it as a close win for Mayweather. So while Im in the minority, as I awknowledge on this thread, I dont think it so unreasonable to draw a "wow" reaction. I even debated posting it because it may not be unpopular enough a view point.
Thats a bit wide, its usually 7-5 May or even 8-4. I just dont see it, I disagree with the majority. I think Maidana won clearly. He mauled May and even out boxed him at points, I think he started stronger and finished strong. I scored rematch 8-4 Mayweather, he won that clearly. Maidana did fade in that one.
Nah. The AP scored it for May, but most other media had it a draw or Castillo. It was a very unpopular decision. Agreeing with the Judges in this case is actually going against the grain.
Not sure on that. Read reports they were split and this is all i could find. Steve Kim 116-112. Castillo Lederman 115-111 Castillo Boxing Chronicle, 114-112 Castillo Rafaal 114-114 draw Springer 114-112 Mayweather Doug Fisher 115-114 Mayweather
Which rounds did you score for Maidana? Do you give points for mauling that doesn’t involve in any actual punches landing? I ask because only someone who scores boxing very differently than me (with far less emphasis on clean punches, for example), could call that fight for Mariana. I gave Maidana 4 rounds. A couple others were fairly close but in my opinion still clear Mayweather rounds.
1,3,4,5,6,8,11. You know probably the same rounds everyone else who scored it for Maidana gave him. Successful mauling would require landed punches. Cool straw man, bro. https://media1.tenor.com/images/9e4f879f6e28703476293d5ddcad7145/tenor.gif?itemid=3478923 Okay.
As they should, Mayweather never got out of first gear while Castillo finished the fight very strong.
Who else scored it for Maidana? I didn't realize this was a thing (among guys who really follow boxing anyway) Agreed, and I didn't see many quality punches at all from Maidana in several of the rounds that you gave him. Huh? I intentionally misrepresented your argument to weaken it there?? Or maybe you meant something else and should have used a different word?
Why are you being so catty, did someone slip estrogen in your drink. This is a boxing board, not a high school lunch table, if you want to come at me, be blunt about it. I'm not going to waste my time with this "read between the lines, sister" crap. What the hell, we've disagreed before but you never acted like a total ***. http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mborajSVhj1r6ubhwo1_500.gif Go to the little girls room, wash that **** off your face, and come back at me when you have an argument you would like to make. Like "I disagree with your score..and here's why.." Something I can actually work with.
I’m being catty? Think you’re projecting there, sis. Was trying to understand your weird scorecard and you cop a bizarre, aggressive attitude, throw a childish tantrum with name-calling and everything, and even question my online manliness. Oh well.
Well, I guess we'll never know why I have such a weird scorecard, because you would rather file your nails and hiss than just ask me. I already gave my rounds and some reasoning anyway. I'm sure you'll live. This content is protected
You explained your trash ass scorecard well enough, I guess. I don’t get the corny “female” talk (are you desperate for a reaction or something?) but it’s of no consequence. No more heated arguments with boxing internet weirdos ever again. Peace.
There we go, that shouldn't have took I don't know how many ****ing posts to get out. Well done. https://media.giphy.com/media/F9DzQnxx6ZZNm/giphy.gif
