I don't know about anybody else, but there are quite a few famous matchups from the past that I have yet to see. I'm not talking about every great fight here, just the fights that every single Boxing fan should have seen once, or even own on DVD. Up until just a month ago I had never seen Corrales vs Castillo 1 in full. This is pretty awful considering how much acclaim that fight has gained since it first aired. The action was non-stop, and the drama was at all time high forcing a stoppage. Likewise, it was a while until I got round to watching Hearns vs Leonard 1 in full, and I have no good excuse for putting it off for so long. I just didn't get round to it. Great fight, between two of the best 147lb fighters of all time. Even still, there are notable fights that I haven't bothered to watch in their entirety. Gatti vs Ward I, Ali vs Frazier 1 + 2, Chavez vs Taylor 1, Leonard vs Benitez. For a few of those fights, I've just seen highlights and read about them in acute detail. However, nothing measures up to watching the fights start to finish. Any fights you haven't seen yet, knowing full well you should have?
Had tix to vasquez marquez 3. Showed up at around 7 only to hear them announcing the result. I assumed it started later. Yes, it was bad. Can't get myself to watch it now.
My problem is that I haven't been an avid boxing fan for very long, more of a casual one. Now I watch every fight I can. The problem is I don't know where to go to see these old fights. I watch a lot of older fights on ESPN classic, but there are a lot I want to see, but don't know where to find them.
I have never actually seen either Hagler-Leonard or Holyfield-Qawi I yet. Must get round to that some day.
One fight from recent I'd like to see is Santa Cruz vs. Pitalua, but can't find it anywhere. This Pitalua sounds like a banger, and despite his age, I'd like to see whether I can start hyping him up to smash Edwin Valero :yep
Eusebio Pedroza fights,i have eight or nine of his fights(for almost a year)and still havent seen one.
Feel bad for the guy that coulda seen Vsquez-Marquez 3, one of THE greatest fights of all time. Seriously though, he should watch it. It won't make you feel bitter, you'll be so happy to have finally seen it any bad thoughts will go and you'll privelaged that it happened in your lifetime at least. Seriously.
I have a place where you can get barrera vs mckinney and lots more in a 500-600mb avi format. good quality. hell of a fight. pm me
