Any Eddie Perkins fight......

 

You have more chance of pissing in the Queens handbag then of finding any decent footage of Eddie Perkins, Vic.

I've only seen snippets of him and he looked a very good little operator. Looking at his record and the people he faced, closeness of his era etc. It's staggering there isn't anything more substancial of him.

He was in that era of very good fighters being shafted and put on the backburner. He was avoided like Jason Voorhees.

 

Someone mentioned in Classic a while ago that his footage with a japanese fighter was avaliable....not sure how long is the footage...

More of Erbito Salavarria would be nice to see as well.....only watched his fight with Hanagata.....

 

There is stuff out there of Perkins.

Agree 100% on Salavarria as well.....though I'd rather see Borlhorsor beating him with ease :yep

 

Hilario Zapata vs Alfonso Lopez, although I'm not entirely sure it's even on film. I think I've heard it was. You know anything about that, Flea?

 

I've looked for that (and the Vorasingh fight) for a while and not dug up anything on it. If Craig ain't got it.....

Yeah, mate. It's the Takahashi one. It's not much really.

 

This was hard to get hold off for a while for me, until Leon in the Aussie forum sorted me out with it. It's a fun little fight to watch, between two very underrated fighters Barry Michael and Al Carter, if anyones interested. The winner was meant to face Ray Mancini, but alas it never materialised. Michael went down a weight to get a title shot and luckily for him Lester Ellis was there to provide probabily the biggest fight in Aussie boxing history.
