Chico's comeback from the brink is something legendary, the way he turned that final round around had the hairs on my neck standing up.
I think it was Francis who suggested watching that fight but your right fantastic , you ever come across a fella named Johnny Tapia ? Have a deco at that **** , brilliant battles .
He had like a pony tail and often weird hair cuts? fought around the time of Tyson? he was like a wild mexican but imo nothing like that Gman v Jackson fight. I thought it was you who said they were throwing Hand Grenadeds the entire fight, this is what drew my attention and i thought i should check it out lol, awsome fight, do you know of anymore like that?
i pull out corrales vs castillo every month or 2. Even better since Showtime had a replay of the match now in hd.
Any Mancini fight was a thriller! Have a couple of his fights on tape and watching them still gives me the chills!!
When Kim died after the Mancini fight, Calls were made to change title fights from 15 to 12 rounds. Kim's mother commited suicide shortly after, and the ref was so racked with guilt for not stopping it earlier he also committed suicide shortly after the fight. Tragic time in world boxing.
this is a great thread recently i have watched (in the last 3 days that is) Mosley vs Fernando Vargas Khan vs Judah Fury vs Chisora Pac vs Morales I, II and III Foreman vs Holyfield (Foreman took quite a beating but had Evander wobbled) Holyfield vs Bowe I and II Byrd vs Tua Tua vs Ibeabuchi as you can tell i have monday off sick so had plenty of time to watch fights!
