Johnson says this is "Do or Die" for him. I thought that a few fights ago. What keeps this guy going? I know he's a great person, a warrior with a huge heart, but he's getting old & hasn't won in ages. This could be a very dangerous fight for him. Fonfara is young & strong, with 9 KO's in a row & gunning for #10.

Should be interesting...FNF's this season is giving us some decent fights to yak about!

    :happy

Dont think Fonfara is a next level fighter but he may surprise.

Seems he was draining before and now has found his stride/power.

Johnson is moving back to his natural weight which is a good thing, but even with a win, which I believe he should, he's still not lining up anything bigger in the future.

Thing is that Johnson is too good to be a gatekeeper but too old to play the spoiler.

This isn't exactly a crossroads fight where someone is coming out a winner in all of this. Even if Andre wins, he's basically not breaking the top 10 with the win.:think

Well, he's been doing well, & if he gives Glens alot of trouble, it can only be looked at as a positive, with more to build on.

I hope he does surprise us sends Johnson into retirement, even though it hurts me to say that.

If Fonfara win, its a stepping stone closer to a Title shot. Shouldn't be too far off, if things turn out right Friday night.

Eh, not really. This season has been pretty much garbage. The last couple of shows have been good, but the first 5 months have been crap.

Aw yeah, can't wait to see Fonfara again, plus Popoca's on the card and he's always good for some excitement.

Good fight indeed. Honestly almost forgot about this one.

Fonfara seems to go unnoticed flying under the radar almost.

Johnson's been KO'd only once, and that was 15 years ago...

I hope Andrzej can give him his second KO loss

At the weigh-in, Fonafara looked young & strong, while Glen is showing his age. He went to flex & there was nothing to flex. I sure hope Johnson doesn't get hurt. He's a decent human being.

I read that Fonfara didn't want a boxing nickname, to just be known by his regular name. I've also seen him referred to multiple times as "the Polish Prince". :huh

Also, does he go by his Americanized name over here now? I have seen both Andrew and Andrzej used.

I've only seen Fonfara once against Findley several years ago and he got knocked out. But he had about 10 fights and was 20 years old so I'm sure he's a better fighter now than he was then.

Johnson is ready to become a gate keeper but I don't know if he's quite there and I'm not sure Fonfara is the guy to put him there but it should be a good fight.
