That,to not put Harry Greb @#1 middleweight knowing that if any middleweight that ever lived, had to tackle the likes of such great bigger fighters as Gene Tunney, Tommy Loughran, Jack Dillon, maxie Rosenbloom, Battling Levinsky, Billy Miske, Gunboat Smith, and to dominate a young prime Mickey Walker,Bill Brennan [200 lbs.] 4 times,could never duplicate this amazing fighter, shows idiocy on their part. Tell me members of this noble "list",which 160 pounder you know could top this ? Answer NONE.
And to put a Roy Jones jr, over a Gene Tunney, Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore,who went through the fires for years is nonsense. Jones in the 1940s era of Charles, Moore,Harold Johnson, would have been derailed many times...
And the young Henry Armstrong as 126 lbs was virtually unbeatable.
The list really should be called the top fighters of MY TIME...

The young Joe Louis of Baer ,Schmeling #2 would have caught up to and destroyed any version of Clay/Ali,with certainty .Ali NEVER met anyone with the young Brown Bombers panther-like speed and trip-hammer punching. I am talking about the Louis of Baer vintage and not the Louis who had trouble with Conn in 1941, He was on the downside in speed by then....Yipes
