If he had a Manny Steward at the helm like Wlad he would be terrifying lol

To be fair, it's been an incredibly frustrating stop/start year for him and it must be difficult trying to get up for fights and maintain motivation.

The Gorilla Ryder has been on my radar since day one, my keen eye knew he was destined to be a beast from his first fight on TV. an absolute beast inside. Would like to see him give eubank a good beating.

Maybe went easy on the guy to give his fans some value.

Agreed. Especially against a clean Clenelo

Physically they're very similar in build. Both short, stocky very physically strong toads albeit Ryder is actually more skillful and if he was on Clen's special meat diet he would be hitting a lot harder too.

He's going to have it hard with all the attention over here. He might have to Rip it off Joshua or Fury, he needs the hunger, he needs to not come in wobbly, heavyweights are lazy bums, such a shame with the talent he has.

Yes. I'd actually see him with another trainer because he hasn't improved with Diaz at the helm. In fact, he's probably regressed.

People within the trade rate him highly. Ben Davison speaks very highly of him, Tom Little said he's the best fighter he's fought and the hardest hitter and even Fury rates him lol

'Two-time heavyweight world champion, Tyson Fury (32), believes undefeated Croatian boxer Filip Hrgović has the goods to go all the way and become the heavyweight champion of the world.

Fury, who as of April this year, is ranked as the world’s best active heavyweight by ESPN, the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board (TBRB), and BoxRec, did not hold back when asked about his option on the Croatian.

“My opinion on Filip Hrgović is he is a great fighter, definitely a big, big prospect for the future and a future world champion too,” he said.

Hrgović was quick to thank the ‘Gypsy King’, sharing the video on his Instagram stories.
Last year, former WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO world champion Wladimir Klitschko also backed Hrgović to one day become a world champion.

“Filip is extremely talented. He showed in the past, through his Olympic record and his professional record. I have been sparring with him and he was really, really tough, even in my best days back then. I think he is gonna become a champion, absolutely. Does he have a chance? Absolutely, yes,” Klitschko said.

Klitschko, who holds the record for longest cumulative title reign of any boxer with, 4,382 days as world champion and has 25 title wins against 23 fighters, the most in heavyweight history, knows the Croatian heavyweight’s capabilities very well after training with him.
The 43-year-old Ukrainian called requested Hrgović to join his team as a sparring partner when he prepared for his fight against Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium two years ago. Hrgović also sparred with Klitschko before the announced rematch with Tyson Fury which was cancelled.

I believe he hasn't got the one punch power or speed of wlad but has a far better chin and aggression of vitali, although he looks looser limbed which means he would stiffen up. I don't like to compare but I think he has the attributes to take over the next gen. If it's a pass the torch fight so be it. But he has to step on it now.

He's more Vitali than Wlad. When it comes to one punch power Wlad is one of the hardest punchers in HW boxing history but I still think with the right trainer and work in the gym Hrgovic can improve his jab and one punch power albeit maybe it's too late as he developed his own kind of unique style.

His chin is okay, it's the body punches he doesn't like. He's a tough guy with a big heart, but soft in the belly.

Babic vs Radonjic would be a fun fight.

Hrgovic reminds me a bit of Vitali Klitschko. Not the most graceful or pretty to watch but very effective. Would like to see him remain active. He looked a bit extra soft in the body though so he could up the conditioning next time out.

I hope he doesn't, that fight was complete dog ****.

Anyone clinging to the false notion that this guy is some kind of great white hope is seriously mistaken.

I just watched this. I expect Radonjic to start making the rounds against prospects in the UK as he has a good record and is awful.

I'm not sure why people are being super negative on Hrgovic to be honest, there wasn't really a lot to assess as his resistance was next to nothing. He took care of business and gets back to being active.

The only thing I'll say is he keeps his head too static for my taste and some of the guys at the top will exploit that if he doesn't fix that deficiency in his game. I'm disappointed in Hunter ducking out and hope Hrgy Bear(™anjawnaymiz ) gets a fight with a live body next.

Means nothing. I want to see Hrgovic against a decent opponent.
