Filip Hrgovic called out Anthony Joshua: "Let him fight against me, I would destroy him!"

Yeah, the fans are what destroyed this "sport", they all call out Mike Tyson and the crew of the greats and compare Fury, AJ, Wilders with them, those champs didnt fight 1 per year, and all who had a shot at being mandatory or to move up in top 10s would take it, diffrent breed of boxers. Fury should have been striped of WBC just for fighting Chisora.

 

I would have preferred to have watched AJ and Hrgovic fight, rather than AJ and Franklin.

 

If Fury still has no intention of fighting AJ. Hearn should look to make the Joyce fight. If that fight can't done, Hrgovic would be the good alternative option. Good fight.

Hrgovic is in his seventh year as a pro (a year that is a quarter over btw, and he hasn’t fought in 2023 yet) and he’s fought 15 times.

You’re talking about how champions fight once or twice a year and he’s AVERAGED two fights a year in his entire career. In fact, 2019 was the last year in which he fought more than twice … a whopping three times.

He fought once in 2022 and so far zero times in 2023.

How does that justify handing him a title shot or a big-money fight?

Like the guy in the movie said: Get busy living or get busy dying.

(But in Flip’s case, just get busy.)

 

He was spending a lot of time waiting for eliminators to come off. I recall one eliminator was made then the opponent pulled out last minute...he had to wait another 3-4 months to get another.

The whole saga over the IBF title has led to his inactivity as has him being ducked by everyone in the IBF.

 

He’s still allowed to fight. It’s on him to stay busy and build his resume and build interest in him and demand to see him fight.

That’s not accomplished by saying ‘I’d like AJ to fight me.’ It’s accomplished by fighting and getting exposure.

We’re nearing eight months since his last fight. No reason he couldn’t have booked a showcase, stay-busy fight by now. I’d be surprised if he fights more than twice this year and not surprised at all if he only fights once.

Just don’t criticize champions for not fighting more often if you, yourself, are not fighting often.

 

If he fought AJ and lost to him, that would put the IBF in quite a predicament. Would they call a mandatory for a guy their champion already beat twice, winning and then later defending the title against him.

Hrgovic vs. Joyce would be a good fight for both next.

You really are dumb. There is a differenece between champ and contender, what you are saying is false equvelancy. Hrgovic has the same amount of fights as Joe Joyce, tell it to him. Who should he be fighting, below top 50s? That will get him more fights? Dumbass apologist.
