A lot of risk for Hrgovic, but also a lot of potential reward. A win would put him in title contention and top 5 with how people are rating Itauma these days.

Not sure if Hrgovic is still working towards a title or if he is cashing out as a gate keeper. But the moved to Big Bear probably points towards the former.

He's good, yes - but with severe undressed issues that mean he can't be competitive against almost anyone good who doesn't have significant flaws of their own

The problem is he doesn't really seem to be able to sit down on them anywhere near often enough... It's almost as if he doesn't trust his chin enough to take the risk of committing to harder punches - the opposite of Joyce, who trusted it too much.

With that being the case, why is he not working to fix the stamina problems so that he could actually be viable on cards? His problem now is he's neither knocking out anyone remotely durable or having the stamina to grind out points wins unless his opponent is comically lacking in the stamina stakes.

He can be competitive with pretty much everyone. They guy knows how to fight. That's not the issue. He was an excellent amateur and he fought most of the best SHWs in the world and beat a lot of them. I've never seen him not be competitive

He's just never improved since the amateurs. In fact, I think he's regressed and I don't believe he's in love with the sport anymore

I don't think he doesn't trust his chin either. I think he trusts it too much

I think it's more a case of him not being taught properly, not having the right fit trainer, and being surrounded by people who gas him up by calling him ''El Animal''

He's definitely been working on his stamina since hooking up with Sanchez.

Being relatively competitive but unable to win is fine, but it's basically the mark of the gatekeeper, surely?

In true Chisora fashion - always in it, never win it - at least with proper contenders.

That comment was entirely with regards to why he doesn't commit more to shots more regularly - if he trusted it too much, surely he would?

He beat a lot of the best SHWs in the world in the amateurs and has always been very competitive in every fight I've seen of his

He has been very competitive with every decent or world class fighter he's fought as a pro

He's lost 1 fight and arguably lost 1 other which was razor-close even if you had him losing and most who had him losing only had him doing so by a round and that's including that bogus KD IMO

He throws arm punches because he hasn't been taught right IMO. He comes from a small country which only has 63 registered pros and I think has only had 2 world champions in its history. He couldn't even get any decent sparring in his homeland. Hence why he had travel abroad to try and find work
