I think he’s only had 10 fights. His team won’t rush him. The days of Mike Tyson fighting once a month are long gone. As with many other up & coming heavyweights his opponents will be carefully ‘selected’. There’s too much money out there to risk it against a decent fighter. I’m pretty sure we’ll see him fighting journeymen for sometime. Tyson Fury will have retired in a couple of years, Wilder is at a crossroad, the next batch will be jostling for poll positions soon, but not yet in my opinion.
Good call. The answer is that he has the talent but he has a long way to go. Those who see this big high-end in him already are not being honest with themselves. He has overrated power, and get caught looking a lot.
Just caught his fight with molina ( I know I'm late) Came away impressed as I was with the mansour fight as well...his vaunted power is well deserved. Molina was hurt from the first round on, and was in survival mode til the end People seem to think he gets tagged alot...to me it looks more like he does that vittles lean back thing to minimize blows Was a somewhat dirty fight, but that's what molina asked for...great experience for hrzgovic, as Eric is a cagey vet with underrated power who's been in the ring with multiple world champs People on here seemed to think his stock went down at the time this fight first occured...not sure why...he literally did everything he should have in that situation
