Filip Hrgovic: I want to fight Fabio Wardley for WBO Title but I am open for Kabayel in April aswell

I think Dubois, who was defeated in his last fight, would be the best option for Hrgovic, I think both of them would have nothing against it.

 

I think Hrgovic would really want the Dubois rematch whilst Dubois' team would swerve that next.

If Dubois had not headbutted Hrgovic about 40 times and hit him with a number of low blows and been allowed to then who knows how that fight turns out. If Dubois had turned up to that fight in the condition he did for Usyk 1, then for sure Hrgovic would have had him.

I do not think he gets to face Usyk next either. Usyk is looking at the over 35s for legacy fights and retirement.

The Wardley fight is the most likely.

 

There are all good fights, all good options.

 

Is Hrgovic a contender for the best chin of this era? The shots he took from Zhang and Adelaye would kill a horse.

 

So now gatekeepers get to call shots?

It's all very well saying he wants to fight the contenders, but what's he doing to make himself difficult to ignore right now?

 

In theory Hrgovic's top tier chin should give him an edge against wardley but considering his past three fights have had him get bad cuts that if adeyle was more skilled and if joyce wasn't fighting in slow motion they could have capitalised on the cut to have hrgovic stopped by the ref like the dubois fight. Wardley is strong enough and fast enough to take his opportunities.

Kabayel would beat him easy tho.

Generally, all those fights would have had something to them, but I'd have highlighted the rematch with Dubois.
That fight took a toll on my ego. I was seriously convinced Hrgovic would win, and Dubois's only chance would be one perfect punch...
The result completely surprised me.

I'd like to see it again, but for it to make sense, it would require an honest referee. What they allowed Daniel to do in that fight was pure outrage. He practically crushed Filip with blows to the head – maybe he developed a concussion after all those punches from the bullwhip.
It's also surprising how many punches Dubois was able to withstand without reacting. Either they primed him well before the fight, or Filip is trying to throw too many powerful punches, which is why he's losing his punching power.

Could have been a good fight against Fabio. Against Agit, Hrgovic would have to show a different level than he has so far. Entering the ring and reacting sluggishly to events would result in him being beaten up and down, leading to a submission. Here, you have to work hard like Knyba did in the first two rounds, and then Agit is definitely beatable because he takes a lot of punches.

Not too many contenders or strong gatekeepers at least about when you look at the HW Ring rankings in fairness.

But yeah, I’d much rather see Wardley fight Kabayel over Hrgovic or Itauma.

 

If Hrgovic was taking the sequence of punches from Adeleye but he was fighting Wardley the ref would have stepped in and stopped the fight
