I don’t think Wilder can be compared to Hrgovic in terms of rabbit punching, Wilder often throws wild shots which sometimes connect behind the head. In the Parker fight he barely landed any. Hrgovic throws them consistently and lands them almost at will. Pretty much every fight I’ve seen him in he clearly targets the back area of the head, Wilder doesn’t - if anything he has hit that area once or twice due to his own wild nature.
Throwing wild punches is not an excuse for landing behind the head. You are not suppose to do that. And Wilder has done that a tons, and he was never penalized. Obviously why. USA, WBC, aka full protection. Wilder also landed tons of shots with open glove, as he is wild throwing punches, and this video is just a good example of his whole career: This content is protected Just to clarify it again. You cannot punch with an open glove. Something Fury also is doing constantly and somehow getting a pass for it. Against Parker he landed shots behind the head and was throwing hammer fists, every time Parker gets inside or in the clinch. Even Parker said he has a big lump on the back of his head after the fight. Wilder should have been at least warned for that. I just can't stand Boxing politics and how based on name some people are getting a pass for their cheating and illegal stuffs. This is why MMA currently is so much better. Rules are clear, even though there is a lot more into it in terms of kicking, knee, grappling, elbows, etc. If you are being dirty you going to get warning and then next time you do it, point deduct or straight up DQ. Rules are there for a reason, and no one should be excused, just because he is a name or being sloopy. Dubois for example, because he is a Queensberry fighter, get a huge pass in the Miller fight, for charging head first constantly. He also lowblow Miller quite a lot. Most of his body shots are clearly low. You can make a case for Miller being idi*** for not complaining, but it's the referee job to call the illegal punches. This is the reason i highly rate AJ and Usyk. Both clean fighters with clean style without all the b.c. PRO boxing has to offer, because of someone name. And yeah having 30+ fights you always going to have a fight or two, where you have done this or that, but it's a problem if it's something you are constantly doing or doing for the majority of your fight, or when it becomes a habit.
People who defend Hrgovic, what the heck you going to say now? This is just a short highlights of his career, not a highlights of his notorious rabbit punching: This content is protected I'm so happy he is most likely next for AJ, and he will getting the beating he deserve. Also his rabbit punching just won't be allowed against AJ.
6 rabbit punches in a minute 46s, the fight was waved off after 2 rabbit punches. There was also a fight at the weekend I think it may have been the very first one on the card where the DAZN commentators said ''great work here, oh lands one behind the head, but we won't talk about that" This content is protected
