Price hit quite a bit harder, I think. When he landed clean, people went down. Price was okay after the first Thompson loss, it was the second one that caused the real trouble. If he'd had the careful 'matchmaking' of AJ, opponents playing to his strengths. he'd have gone further. If you look at his opponents, many were the worst style matchups, durable determined fighters (Thompson, Hammer, Kuzmin, Chisora). He needed opponents who couldn't take punches as well and gassed quicker. The Allen fight was also following the bad matchup pattern but Price's big skill advantage was the difference. It's almost like his idiot management sat down and picked the very worst opponent types for him. There's no way Hearn/matchroom would do that will AJ.
I don’t really see the comparison. Hrgovic is mentally resilient and has an iron chin. Price was a glass cannon that crumbled the very moment a decent punch was landed on him.
Zero chance Price gets through the run of Whyte, Martin and Brezeale, especially starting with Whyte.
