Defo underrated, his win looks great now.

That said, he has a snowball's chance in hell of getting a title shot. His manager will need to bribe the alphabet bodies something big, if he hasn't already.

Hrgovic landed 50-60 punches more, so if you are a punch count guy, Hrgovic won.

If you are an effective aggression/clean, hard punching guy, Zhang won.

    No rip off. But either-way.

However, the knockdown was legit. Hrgovic was not protesting it at the time.

I resisted that Hrgovic won. I even resisted after the first Joyce fight when Hrgovic's fans (all five of them) said it bigged up Hrgovic's victory. But I will admit that, as sloppy and incompetent as it was, he hung in there, landed more punches, and found a credible, if questionable, path to victory, which, I guess is better than getting stopped twice.

The KD was not legit at all. The best case scenario is it was a rabbit punch but if you look the shot skimmed around the back of Hrgovic's head and the momentum of the punch via Big Bang's forearm sort of pulled him down as the punch arced round

And like I said Big Bang was a lot heavier than him too so the sheer weight and strength of Big Bang would've factored in that

Also, numerous fighters on that bill complained about the canvas being slippy and they even had to stop to wipe it in that fight too. When Big Bang went down the ref ruled it a slip. I think that was the right call in that instance from what I recall of it

Hrgovic showed some real metal in that one. Terrific chin, but also grit to come back like he did. Both fighters were absolutely done by the final bell and that's how it should be in such a close fight.

Would love a rematch some time, but both guys are understandably looking for bigger game right now. Wouldn't be surprised if Usyk fights both of them next year and Fury fights Jon Jones.

Dana White will never let Jones box Fury. It's one of the big reasons why Nganou didn't re-sign wih UFC.

Hrgovic and Zhang are now the next 2 up for mandatory title fights.

That's a rematch that needs to happen, and if it does happen sooner rather than later Zhang knocks him out too.

Don't know how much leverage Dana has there, though. Jones could just say "ok, then I'm out of here" after the Stipe fight, which he says he's going to do anyway if can't he get a fight with N'Gannou, and cash out with a boxing match against Fury.

I can't put it all on Hrgovic but he definitely had a lot more to show than that, but I wouldn't say he looked good, his activity was far too low, there was no urgency and seemingly no strategy to what he was doing, and he is levels above his opponent, yet he still looked uncomfortable and awkward in there

Meh, if Zhang had better conditioning in that fight he would've finished hrgovic easily. With this latest fight against Joyce with a new S & c coach Zhang looks fresher, faster, and better conditioned despite being at a career high weight

Also the knockdown was legit. It clipped towards the rear of hrvogics head and slid around towards the back of his head. This is why he didn't protest the knockdown. You can see in slomo when Zhang makes contact hrgovics head jerks a bit with the impact

A Zhang-Hrgovic rematch is the one I would like to see in Beijing. Fury is hog fat and I doubt that he will fight again. He might switch to wrasslin. He also said he wants to be in movies. This coming up thing is just an exhibition. It's not even listed on BoxRec. Usyk is, I think, too skilled and fast and slick for Zhang.

A unique Chinese heavyweight champion is great for boxing. Two billion Chinese people worldwide are now boxing fans!

I like both fighters but nobody was ‘robbed’

Zhang landed the more eye catching power shots but Filip landed more and came on in the end. Was the more active fighter for the majority. I would love to see the rematch.

One thing is for certain… Hrgovic has a Titanium chin. Zhang’s ain’t too shabby either for that matter. :D

It was a very close fight but I had Zhang winning. Wouldn’t call it a robbery though, I scored it 114-113 to Zhang. But he won nevertheless.

Only for the first 3 rounds, then he dominated the center and set the pace. Zhang litteraly ran away from him.
