Filip Hrgovic is Underrated - He Took Zhang's Best Punches And Still Won

And if Hrgovics Dad didnt died, he would be at better mental state, giving him a clear K.O., what a load of crap comming from you. Also knockdown is not legit, but what is the point of protesting, Hrgovics been around. Also remember the Zhang "slip" that was not rulled as knockdown. And remmember when he ran away from Hrgovic, all Hrgovic saw was Zhang back.

 

Look at the final 10 seconds of the match - Zhang running away from Hrgovic with his back turned, that is not a winning fighter.

I think the fight was a draw personally, but ultimately I think Zhang is kicking himself that he didn't go for the KO sooner. He set up on the counter and didn't apply more pressure earlier.

I think if Zhang rematches Hrgovic he'd win.

Hrgovic wasn't great vs Keane.

 

Yep he is underrated whether you thought he won or lost against Zhang it was a good performance against a giant hard hitting heavyweight like Zhang.

Not even remotely the same comparison but OK. It was a clear knock down from a slo-mo, he fell after an impact to the head that can be clearly seen.

And just like that, the slo-mo also shows Zhang's back leg sliding on the canvas without a clear punch to the head.

Hrgovic took some damage in that fight and his chin may not be the same now just like Joyce.

He certainly coped much better than Joyce but I still wouldn't make it any more than 50-50 if he went in with Joyce. Classic styles make em.

 

Very close fight and i actually had it a draw. If Hrgovic improves his conditioning and work rate and general showed more urgency in the ring i think he'd be a top 5 fighter.

But there's something about his attitude that is off. Doesn't look like he wants to be there half the time (when he does fight which is hardly ever)..

Zhang can get more conditioning like he did for the rematch with Joyce, and that's under his control. My statement shows Zhang is clearly the better fighter barring the conditioning, and hrgovic is luckily zhang's conditioning was poor. Rematch may not be so pretty for him

 

You are looking at it the wrong way, Zhang has never had better match than Hrgovic one, he was at 110% there. Hrgovic wasnt even on 90%. In other words, Hrgovic had a bad day, and Zhang had a great day, and Hrgovic still won. If Hrgovic came with 110%, Zhang isnt gonna survive 6 rounds.
