He's better than that. Also, his shaky performance against the big man looks better in hindsight. He does need to get busy, tho. Can't coast when you have no belts and not marketing clout. Hopefully, his new team will help.
Your way too harsh on your countryman Hrgovic after just one bad performance. It wasn't his night when he fought against Zhang - bogus knockdown, bad cut and his dad died a few weeks before the night, sometimes **** happens. I always rated Hrgovic ever since he turned pro, and I believe he will become a world champion someday.
Hrgović IMO can go to second or third place in the heavyweight category; as far as boxer quality is concerned (maybe upset can become No.1). But when it comes to running the campaign of his career (management, publicity, advertising, trash talk, and "trash talk", etc.), that is his weak point..
We really don't know how good any active heavyweight is, due to inactivity , ducking, and cherry picking.
He's certainly too good to be sitting around watching daytime TV or whatever he's doing at the moment. Complete waste of talent.
Alexander Dimitrenko was found out by Kubrat Pulev other than Zhang everybody is ducking Hrgovic that's the difference.
I think Hrgovic gets more threads started about him on here than he's had fights.....genuinely don't get the fascination with him.
Also, the difference is Hrgovic has one decent fight - Zhang who is way too overhyped (scoring a draw against Jerry the nobody Forrest, even putting him three times in a knockdown). So he isn't that "ducked", he has yet to prove himself. Saying all of this with sympathy for Filip. Plus, at that time, Pulev was a good fighter, despite all his limitations.
