Miller can apply pressure but cant apply punches. Unless hes fighting a 50year old Lucaa Browne.

What has Hrgovic shown us that makes him a sure thing against Dubois? The same might be said about Dubois in reverse but I think Dubois may have learned a lot from his 2 defeats and I just think he might be better than he's given credit for, I think he tests Hrgovic's chin a couple of times and potentially stops him or failing that he gets an honest decision.

Hrgovic looks decent... And Dubois is fairly mediocre, albeit not yet prime and still improving.

At the same time, Hrgovic is massively overhyped and hasn't really achieved very much yet - he's spent years on the sidelines making very poor fights (and not often enough), his fans would say he couldn't get the fights he wanted but even if he was being ducked (which I think extremely unlikely) he could still have been making far better fights than he has been and much more often.

    Who wins this?
It's hard to tell - it depends just how overrated Hrgovic is more than anything else... I'm almost certain he's not nearly as good as his hype - fighters with super thin resumes almost never are - but just how far off that he is will require a few decent fights to ascertain, and it's good that he's finally showing some stones to take them.

That's not really fair. Joyce did severe damage to his eye and "showing heart" isn't worth potentially losing an eye. Knowing when to take a knee isn't a bad thing especially considering the alternative.

Pretty sure Hrgovic knocked dubois the **** out once in sparring a few years ago. And apparently it was nasty. Daniel had to take the rest of the day off. Lol

Forgot which UK fighter posted about this on his Twitter but he was there and nobody disputed it.

Close fight it can go either way. Looking forward to it as it will tell a lot about Hrgovic.

This is my anti-fight. I can't stand either of these dudes.

No, I don't have any problems with that either. Eye injuries are serious business and the pain can be paralyzing. Sitting on a forum and calling him mentally weak because of that is not a good take.

Against Usyk he could have gone on, though. That was exhaustion and frustration more than anything else. And, yes, he'd likely been stopped later in that round or in the next anyway and winning on points was out of the question even if he had lasted the distance, but he knew that he could hurt Usyk, so, if we're talking elite mentality, you'd like to see a fighter go on as long as that option is on the table.

Fair point about Usyk. I just assumed he really was hitting that hard out of spite after the low blow and he had Dubios genuinely hurt.

Likely a clean KO/stoppage was no more than 30 secs off in any case, but I don't feel it was quite like Tyson-Lewis, where Tyson was totally spent and taking bombs from a huge puncher and choose not to get up. Dubois wasn't shipping that kind of punishment and had hurt Usyk before, so there is a case for just leaving it all out there.

On the other hand, it's easy for me to sit behind my screen and say that he should have gone on and take what in worst case could be permanent damage for just a faint sliver of a chance of winning. I think we should wait until Dubois quits in a fight where he still has a somewhat decenct chance before we call him a quitter.

I'll have to go with Hrgovich. He is by far the strongest man, mentally. Daniel looks like a million dollar, but looks don't win fights in the ring. He is a quitter, nothing wrong with that. I must admit, that I thought DDD had much more power at the highest level than he actually has. I think Hrgovich is going to outwork Daniel in a somewhat workmanlike way and stop him late in the fight. I don't really enjoy Hrgovic's style, as I find him robotic, but, well, it works for him. Hrgovich has that eastern european thoughness it appears.

I like Daniel and I think he has a chance to save his name, so to speak. That said, I agree that Hrgovich is too big a fish for DDD. When the going gets tough Daniel just doesn't have what it takes.
