I'll tell you I wouldn't count the big goombah out. He can box a little, Hrgovic was dramatically overrated, and the beating he took against Dubois...well, there are still pieces of him in the ring.
Vianello could beat Frank Sanchez and Joe Joyce. I think he might be top 10, this would be a good fight
If Filip still want give himself chance I would love see him vs Makhmudov. Same as Joyce. They should think about that nów when Arslanbek is still quiet "hot" name. Also I would love even more see Joyce vs Hrgovic fight for comeback to top for the winner. Hope Turki will have same idea and sponsored this fight on some undercard. Btw. CroBox. You are from Croatia. Any news about/from Filip? I try find smth about him but all I find is silent. Dude gave any interview? Sign of life?
Hrgovic is the better boxer but Vianello has that dog in him, while Hrgovic just goes through the motions. And Dubois likely took his confidence from him. Right now, based on their individual last performances, I would favor Vianello but it´s a very winnable fight for Hrgovic. P.S I rightly called the Dubois upset over Hrgovic, I have that plant of wood figured out.
He completely disappeared from the media, the last thing he said was that he was not under any contract and that he could take as much time as he needed to recover and be with his family...
There are many unknown fighters that deserve more hype. Hrgovic might be too much for him right now, but he can beat some other fighters like Gassiev, Wallin or Lerena.
Hope dude dont give up. I still belive he got atributes to be on top imo. Just need rebuild few things. He put a lot of pressure on himself before Dubois fight. That was unnecessary and silly. Failures like this can work in two ways. They can completely brake You down or give You fuel to work harder and being hungrier to increase Your goal. Hope Filip will be second case.
Not seen enough of Vianello to really make an informed decision but from the fight last night he looked very poor against an even poorer opponent.
I thought Vianello beat Efe Ajagba in his last fight, I think being kind to Efe would have been a draw, but Guido did enough to win IMO. I thought Guido looked good and improved, the one fight he lost from a bad cut to Jonathan Rice, and I believe Guido won every round until the injury. The Russian is a puncher and had beaten Vianello in the Amateurs, so it was a solid win. Guido took shots vs Efe and against the Russian and handled it well. I would like to see some additional input in Guidos team but at this point he is better than a lot of guys rated higher. These days it's not the undefeated record but the way a fighter bounces back. With proper training and adjustments and patience Guido can be a force. I would put him in there with Chisora and White and then maybe Zhang or Parker and take it from there. I think he can beat Hrgovic who is not active enough and lacks stamina.
Vianello looked good vs Makhmudov but it was only Makhmudov, Hrgovic is a level above anyone Vianello has fought. But Vianello could prove to be a difficult opponents, he has decent movement and his chin looks rock solid. He could take him late and expose Hrgovic's gas tank but he'd have to set a high pace like Dubois did as Hrgovic's gas tank isn't as bad as Zhang's or Bakole's. It's difficult to pick a winner, it's a 50/50 type fight. I'm leaning towards Hrgovic as Vianello doesn't hit as hard Dubois and I think you have to back Hrgovic up to make him less effective. Vianello will box and move and have success but he'll allow Hrgovic to press forward and that's when Hrgovic is most effective. Hrgovic wins a close, perhaps even controversial decision.
