Don't see it happening, Hrgovic is too much of the threat and not big enough a payday for Ortiz to take it.

If it did happen I fully expect Hrgovic to knock him out early. Ortiz is open for the right hand like most southpaws and Hrgovic has a powerful right hand. Hrgovic also has a good chin from what we've seen and if Martin can out box Ortiz, Hrgovic definitely can with his size advantage and movement. I also see Ortiz' low left hand allowing Hrgovic to gain lead hand control, he'll post with the jab and drop the right hand on Ortiz.

Doubt this happens, Wilder-Ortiz 3 is more likely

But if if did Hrgy Bear by KO, now if this fight took place in Ortiz' prime(1912-1914) I'd favor Ortiz

Hrgovics defense is spotty at best. I suspect a close fight.

You would think that Hrgovic walks through Ortiz but in truth even a guy like bum Charles Martin would be his best opponent so far

I say Hrgovic stops him in round 8

That wafer chin will not suffice

Guys it wouldn't last long, Hrgovic is prime fighting to his opponents level and is just ready to take over and he would severely smash Old Ortiz fast. I think Hrgovic knocks out most of the top 10, that's just me he has to prove it.

Certainly would not bet on ortiz after The martin fight. Legs looked shot to bits and when i saw holes to counterpunch martin he didnt pull the trigger which is normally his bread and butter. If ortiz lets say just had a bad camp though he certainly could suprise. Hrgovic is pretty big and could overwhelm ortiz at this stage

    Not a thriller stylewise.

Hrgovic stands straight up, back arched, fighting tall. Ortiz keeps his distance. Hrgovic paws with his jab. Throws his big right hand. Misses. Hrgovic paws with his jab. Throws his big right hand. Misses. Moves closer. Hrgovic paws with his jab. Throws his big right hand, Ortiz takes one step back and immediately counters over the top with a powerful straight left that blasts Hrgovic in the face. Hrgovic clinches. Punches Ortiz behind the head. Ortiz complains. The ref tells Hrgovic not to hit behind the head.

Rinse. Repeat. Rinse. Repeat. Rinse. Repeat for a number of rounds.

Then one of the straight counter lefts over the top by Ortiz staggers Hrgovic and Ortiz goes to work on the body and head.

The crowd gets excited. Hrgovic grabs. Hits Ortiz behind the head. Gets warned.

    Ortiz TKO 9 or 10.

Dropped by a jab from Martin and he stops Hrgovic

The guy who started an entire thread today saying Hughie Fury dominates the heavyweight division isn't allowed to comment on anything.

It's a simple style matchup. Hrgovic stands straight up in the orthodox stance, paws with a jab, a throws a right. Ortiz is an expert at stepping back and countering over the top of right hands with his long power left out of the southpaw stance.

It's a basic pattern. Hrgovic doesn't change up much.

Countering LOL Hrgovic would beat his ass. Man was having serious issues with Charles Martin. I hope to god that fight happens so we can see you cry. And don't you dare say Ortiz is shot if Hrgovic wins because you weren't sayin that before the fight

Cry? Get your head out of your ass. I don't care who wins between Hrgovic and Ortiz.

The OP asked who we thought would win. I explained why I thought Ortiz would.

Hrgovic is a pretty basic, straight-up fighter. He isn't fast. He isn't awkward. He basically depends primarily on his size. I usually root for the younger fighters in these types of matchups. I like to see the younger fighters step up.

I have supported Hrgovic on this board many times. But, I can see Ortiz just laying back and countering him to bits.

Bad style matchup FOR HRGOVIC, not Ortiz.

Ortiz is not winning this fight, styles wont matter that much when Ortiz is packing glass

Ortiz has poor defence (even a poor Hammer was finding easy to land onto Ortiz), has always had slow foot work and has a glass chin.

Ortiz wouldn't last long against Hrgovic

Ortiz a few years ago would win, but this version of Ortiz gets blasted into the canvas. He got dropped by a jab from Charles bloody Martin for god sakes...
