Filip Hrgovic vs. Michael Hunter, if they were to fight now.

Hrgovic wins this. Hunter is small and clearly past his best (his prime was like 4-5 years ago)

 

Hunter certainly is talented, tough and gutsy, as he proved vs. Bakole -- but his problem is inactivity -- only 5 fights in as many years. If they'd faced each other sooner, I'd have given Hunter a chance; now, I'd be surprised if Hunter could manage vs. any of the top-10. I'm guessing Bakole wouldn't mind avenging his loss.

 

Hunter is my favorite HW (that is an "active"/current fighter). I think he's over the hill and starting to roll down it. He slowed down to a stall when he should've been capitalizing on his peak. I think he might be post prime now.

His last fight...............yeah, I think he missed the boat.

 

Hrgovic, maybe the version that drew with Povetkin could have out hustled Hrgovic to win but the current version isn't a top 15 fighter, probably not even top 20. It's a shame I really liked Hunter.

 

Who knows what remained of Hunter. His recent fights demanded none of the elite performance a fight against Usyk, Bakole, or Povetkin did. There is a chance he makes Hrgovic gass with the jab to the body, raid attack, and slickness. Then again, Hrgovic can be accurate and educated with his lead hand and long guard.

Hunter is sadly done now man. He won't beat anyone good ever again.

 

Bakole should get in there then. Guy is spooked.

 

If Bakole can't get fights with Parker, Zhang or Dubois then he should definitely take it to stay busy and right the wrong, but it does absolutely nothing for him at this stage. Hunter has looked **** recently is inactive, unranked. So it probably won't happen.

 

So, is that because Bakole thinks Hunter is no longer a name, is done, and thus won't draw him a decent payday...?

Or are you saying Bakole worries Hunter has a puncher's chance and might even have his number...?

 

Bakole sucks is the problem. He got destroyed physically and mentally. Styles makes fights. He doesn't want in.

 

If I got my ass beatdown, I'd want my revenge especially if I was sick or there was a reason for an off night.

Hrgovic wins this even if he trains in a bar like he did for the Dubois fight.

Hunter hasn’t been fighting at the level for a long time now, and his one decent win over Bakole looks like a fluke as time goes by.
