Both of them were beaten in the last fights, but who suffered more damage? Both of them lack power, but Wallin even more so, how would this fight go?

Nah. I think Hrgovic is too strong. Way too strong. I think he bullies Wallin and stops him late.

    Probably Wallin, Hrgovic is overrated.

The one who still wants it most at this point in their careers. Who is still motivated to achieve things.

    50/50.

Wallin's a decent gatekeeper type fighter - pretty durable, reasonably skilled and easily underestimated.

Hrgovic... I'm going to go out on a limb and say that loss to Dubois might be the best thing that could possibly have happened to his career.
He was getting hyped to a ridiculous extent for having seen the final bell against Zhang - who's decent, but has such a ridiculously suspect gastank (partly due to age, partly due to sheer size) that he hemorrhages points in the back half of every fight to the extent it's very difficult for him to win decisions.

Wallin is precisely the kind of fight Hrgovic should have been making several years back (and to be clear, multiple such fights, not just one!!) - the kind of fights that could've given backbone to his resume and established him as a genuine contender (or not) rather than as an overhyped prospect who was more worried about protecting his zero and his ranking position than about learning how to cope with the upper echelons of the heavyweight division.

As it stands, Hrgovic probably went backwards since Zhang... And I might even slightly favour Wallin to take this on points.

I've never seen anything from Wallin to make me believe he's anything other than a durable solid fighter, who's better than a journeymen but not by much. At best he's a gate keeper but even that might be being too generous.

Hrgovic is limited but the narrow win over Zhang showed he's better than a gatekeeper for me. But if he can't hurt Wallin, which is possible, he might simply get taken deep and out worked, his gas tank is clearly suspect. I favour Hrgovic as I think Wallin lacks the power to back Hrgovic up like Dubois and Zhang did, but would expect him to struggle in the 2nd half if he can't put Wallin away, but holds on to win a decision.

His last 2 wins but those weren't good opponents. But that doesn't matter since I don't rate Wallin at all. He's not particularly technical or fast, he's weak physically, has no power whatsoever and his entire offensive arsenal is a pillow fisted jab and straight.

I just don't think he's ever beaten a world class opponent easily.

And he's only beaten one debatably world class opponent at all (with a record currently 3-2-1 against top-200 ranked opponents) - and that was razor thin.

Then you look at Wallin who arguably should've had a win against Fury - Fury largely dominated as far as points scoring went, but virtually any other opponent would've been stopped on cuts there.

Wallin's got more depth with wins over Gassiev and Breazeale vs Molina and De Mori for Hrgovic.

If it we're for how overhyped Hrgovic was before losing to Dubois, this would be seen as a pretty even fight by most, IMHO.

100% true but I don't think Wallin is world class.

But he's been ranked in the top ten heavyweights of the world. Unless he's shot Hrgovic has his work cut out.

Hrgovic has been ranked top ten also - doesn't mean either of them is actually quite that good.

Realistically, they're probably about the same level.
