I watch amateur boxing but don't really follow it like I do the pros I realized when I went on YouTube that I did watch it at the time. Alot has happened in the last 5 years lol
I don't follow it anywhere near as closely as I used to I watched that one live though. And Joyce vs Yoka
Actually thought the first round was close, Yoka blocked a lot of the punches bur Hergovich took the next two clearly, bad decision.a
It wasn't quite a RJJ in Korea level robbery but it was a fight that no one with integrity could score for Yoka.
Hearn saying Yoka has accepted, finally someone has the balls to step in with Hrgovic. Say what you will about Yoka at least he has the self belief and backs himself. Still think Hrgovic beats him though, but I guess we'll see. https://www.boxingnews24.com/2022/0...p-hrgovic-in-ibf-eliminator-says-eddie-hearn/
Kudos to both for putting their O’s on the line against each other. The goons at 135 should take notice. Leaning towards Hrgovic by late stoppage while being down on the scorecards. This is mainly because the stamina issues Yoka showed against Jonathan Rice. If It’s improved, which It may well have considering the Rice fight was over 4 years ago, I can see Yoka grabbing a decision in a rather lackluster fight.
I think that Hrgovic's bad opponents so far will reflect badly on the upcoming fight with Yoka while Yoka has a psychological advantage and after all Yoka has beaten better fighters in his professional career, many said that Hrgovic even stagnated, I'm not entirely convinced that Hrgovic can win...
Hrgovic didnt look good in his last few fights. Maybe he just lacks motivation against these tomato cans. Looked gassed after 2-3 rounds, getting hit way too much.
