Mexican's who watch boxing, and there are plenty of them, are mainly boxing fans, and most have no inhibitions to let you know if they think their countryman might lose.

You Pinoys can correct me if I'm wrong, but my hunch is that most who watch Pac in the Phillipines, are blind Pac loyalist who would not listen to any reason no matter how logical, and insist Pac is the best.

For all I know is, Filipinos always believe on Manny because he rose from zero to a hero.

As I can recall Manny was one of the poorest of the poor, As a child he was already awaken from the world he lives in. He rose from poverty to a superstar. And Filipinos adore him because he took all the hardship that many Filipinos are suffering nowadays and that's why they wanted to be like Pacquiao.

So I think we can't blame those other pachuggers if they adore him that much.

i really think there is nothing wrong/abnormal with this. many mexicans also picked pac against morales, barrera (2nd time), and all the other mexicans.

and bula's explanation in true. filipinos do not like getting nothing from a situation. it's either they lose some money and still be happy that their boy won or at least get a bit of dough for consolation if their boy lost. it is how it is.

if it is another draw, then they're ****ed:D

No question, I understand what you're saying.
I get along pretty good with alot of the Pinoy's around here!:blood :D

In all honesty, I understand there allegiance to Pac.
....a unique few athletes, carry the weight of their entire country on their shoulders.
I have no doubt that Pac feels the pressure to win for his countrymen.
There are few fighters throughout history that have carried the weight of a nation on their shoulders.......the ones I can think of in modern times are Roberto Duran, Alexis Arguello, and JC Chavez......these fighters, Pac included...transcended boxing in their country to a whole other level.

......thats why I say with all sincerity, that if things go the way I think they will on the 15th of this month, even though I've debated with alot of the Pinoy Pac huggers around here......I'll say this ahead of time......I'm not going to rub it in their faces, I've probably done that in debates to this fight already....... I will actually feel for guys like domngo, Johnco, PacDbest, and a few others who take great joy in seeing Pac suceed.

I actually like Manny Pacquiao, but on the 15th, he's bowing down to Juan Manuel Marquez!:bbb :yep
......I'll take my hacks at you Pinoy's now, while the wound is not yet freshly open!;)

*sigh* and here we go with the generalizations... word of advice divac, go to the Philippines, get to know the people there first and then decide what kind of people we are. Its much better than just going by your hunch.

Let me put this into perspective for you. Yes, most Filipinos who watch Pac in the Philippines and anywhere else in the world are Pac supporters. LOYAL Pac supporters. I am a loyal Pac supporter as are all the Pinoys here in ESB. I'm not ashamed of that. But there's a difference between Pac loyalists and BLIND Pac loyalists. I admit that there are ALOT of BLIND Pac supporters everrywhere, but NOT all of us Filipinos are like that. There are actually ALOT of Filipinos also who will always root for Pac whatever happens BUT at the same time not leave their logic behind and still recognize Pac's limitations. Just because you have seen Pinoy Pac nuthuggers in this forum, does not mean you can just incorporate nuthugging to me and all the Filipinos in the world.

thats what we call ignorance of the sport, actually if you talk to some of our countrymen and do some constructive criticism, you'll be amazed how they try to reason out. You'll get the craziest answers! Pac is one of the best, even haters will admit to that, but he has limitations and thats what makes him exciting:hey Wont be exciting if you're unbeatable.:bart
