The premiere is in Wales this year and the WBC convention is in Wales at the same time.

Im thinking of going down if a WBC convention isnt a good enough reason to go to Wales im not sure wat is. I think there will be soemthing like 100 ex WBC champions there

Winstone was a lovely 'pure' boxer.

    Absolutely feather fisted though

This film has been in production for a while now, and I keep hearing it's release date being pushed back further and further. I think there may be a few problems, either budget, legal, etc because there seems to be very little progress being made.
Also half the cast list is a bit dubious, and unfortunately, I think a bit of wishful thinking. From what I can gather, they're still "hoping" to get Barrera (to play Saldivar) which doesn't sound promising.
I hope I'm wrong though, would love to see this film, regardless of who's in it. I believe John Noble is playing Eddie Thomas too, a cracking actor (Walter Bishop from "Fringe").

He had some sort of accident which cost him the use of his fingers (may have lost a few altogether, I'm not sure) which prevented him from making a closed fist properly.
Probably a good thing for his opponents!
