I want to learn more about the little things a fighter does and the more technical side of boxing. What are the best film studies?
Kayden has some good videos. Whats the story with him? The Modern Martial Artist Coach Anthony Mathew Fouts Mindsmash
This is a good thread. Have been watching the Duran studies by Lee Wylie and The Modern Martial Artist hoping to learn to see more of what's going on in the ring. Any other recommendations would be appreciated.
I’ve been contemplating the act of breaking down key moments and running quick case studies on recent major fights. The best type of studies would involve two separate perspectives and attempting to find commen ground. Not sure who I should appoint but it would have to be someone with good boxing knowledge, relatively indifferent to a fighters nationality, ethnicity and religious beliefs. Style preferences is most welcomed because it provides good color and it doesn’t hurt to have someone who isn’t a complete and utter fan boy that uses (insert favorite fighter name) inner thigh sweat juice as aftershave.
Good post! And just a small correction, it’s Lee Wylie. I only say this because I searched Lee Wiley and a 1930’s jazz singer came up lol
No youre right. My bad on the spelling. The mans vids are absolute art masterpieces. Hes been mentioned twice on HBO by Lampley. Those are some major props.
For those of you not familiar with Lee Wylie do yourselves a favor and watch his videos on Pep, louis and Robinson to start. The Pep and Louis vids are my favorites of all time. Just beautiful work.
