Of course there is. What if he knocks Adamek down three or four times? Isn't that exactly what Adamek did to win the Cunningham fight? He lost the boxing match but won on points because he knocked him down 3 times.
If Adamek has a better stamina then in his last fight with Estrada, he should have no problem wining by points... If his stamina fades away in the last 2-3 rounds , he might get himself into trouble. From reading his blogs it looks like he worked a lot on his stamina in the past 1.5 month and I think he won't fade away in this fight.. UD for ADAMEK
If Adamek lost every round aside from the 3 in which he Kd'd Cunningham, he'd still lose the fight. The fact is Adamek won some rounds in which he didn't score a knockdown. TBH I doubt whether Arreola can win a single round without scoring a knockdown. Adamek would need to be totally gassed (and Arreola totally fresh) for this to happen. But who knows, maybe his under rated boxing skills will surprise me.
And that's not what I said. I said he lost the boxing match, which he did, but won the fight because of the knockdowns, which he did. As far as Arreola not being able to win a round without a knockdown...that's absurd. He's bigger, he's stronger and he's not a bad boxer. I think you're in for a big surprise tonight. Adamek isn't winning. I like him, but it's not happening. :-(
I don't buy into this bigger, stronger nonsense. For starters, they are nearly equal in height and both have a ton of KO's on their records. Adamek has KO'd fighters before with single shots, without even winding up his punches and going sideways the way Arreola has to. His KO punches are typically very short and very straight, right down the pipe. Textbook. IMO, aside from Arreola having more mass/fat, there's no evidence that he's the stronger puncher. As far as boxing skills and esp. punch output and accuracy, there's just no contest here, esp. if Adamek has bought into Shields' system, which should accentuate his boxing.
i have zero respect for arreola and he's quickly becoming one of my least favourite fighters. i hope he gets destroyed and retires. war adamek!!!
Arreola has underrated hand-speed and combination punching. In fact, I'm more impressed with that offense he brings than I was with anything Adamek did against Estrada.
Sure, Adamek's performance against Estrada was one of his worst. No one expects him to win Arreola fighting like that, simply because he got hit too often. And yet, Estrada is faster and much craftier then Arreola. Furthermore, scoring combinations is easier when you've faced low skilled opposition, who only know to come forward and have no lateral movement. Has Arreola even beaten a fighter of Estrada's calibre?
Should Adamek target Arreola's nose??? I mean, the thing is almost as big as someones head, so go for the big target! I don't like making predictions. Just wanna see TA win this fight, so we can fight out whos next. Very excited for this fight, can't wait till is starts. Don't forget we have Froch Kessler which starts about 2 hrs earlier than Adameks fight. ((((((((((((((((((bbbGO ADAMEK SMASH THE POTATOE NOSE:bbb))))))))))))))))))
Damn I wish it was Tuesday because then you'd be in 3rd grade music class right now and we could avoid these assine posts. Grow the hell up, dummy.!
Damn this is a hard one, but Adamek's discipline and coolness might be the difference here. It might come down to a Split Decision for Adamek. He does have the power to hurt a HW, but Arreola has an equally iron will and combination punching to hurt Adamek. I think Adamek's speed, which was heard recently he's been really working on, and ring generalship will get him the victory. If he has Arreola hurt, I think he will be wary of that too as he knows Arreola is very dangerous when he's hurt and has very good stamina. Knockdowns of both fighters wouldn't surprise me.
