I think one punch that will be very effective for Mayweather is the right upper cut. Hatton has a habbit of squaring up in close quarters, which enables him to get more torque behind his punches. However, it leaves him right open for the right upper cut on the inside. Look for Floyd to use this often. Hatton will be looking to over whelm Floyd with combinations. Floyd is very hard to hit clean, but because of the way he defends with his shoulder role technique, if you bombard him with shots, particularly to the body it prevents him from striking back as his arms are still being hit. Hatton will be looking to wear down the arms and shoulders of Mayweather, as well as the body. He will be hitting him everywhere he can to exhaust him. He will hold on the inside and throw, and use his superior strength to out wrestle Mayweather and tire him. From the outside, Floyd will be counting primarily on his jab, counter right, and lead and counter left hook. He will rarely be throwing in combination, but rather throwing crisp, hard single punches when he sees openings.

I'm going with Mayweather by TKO. I think he's really gonna shine after the **** Hatton was talking after that Castillo fight. They stop the fight in the 10th round

The fight will be "Fan man" part 2. It'll happen in the 7th. Floyd's corner attacks him. Manchester boxing fans mob and annihilate him. Pan-thy-monium ensues.

Not convinced b/c of a roof? Oh, he'll find a way through that. He's coming, be ready. Seventh Round. You heard it here.

I think Mayweather will have another decision win but I'll be more than happy if proven wrong.

Why are we even having this fight?According to 95% of the posters, and supposed boxing aficionados,(sp) Floyd wins going away. Hatton has no chance. Thanks for saving me the money-I don't think I buy this fight.

    Certainly Decebal,

This doesn't even need a lengthy right up and the fact that people think that this will even be moderately competitive shows how overrated Hatton is and why Floyd will get immense amounts of undeserved credit for absolutely shredding an overrated British poster boy who is at his ultimate stylistic disadvantage.

    - Hatton is awful against defensive counter punchers.

    - Floyd's 1-2 and timed hooks will land and find a home early, Hatton will feel them, Floyd is not a feather fist.

    - Hatton lacks the jab to get inside, lacks the footwork and head movement to stop the counter punches everytime he attempts.

    - Hatton lacks outside accuracy, this lacking the ability to upset speed and get into his inside fighting realm enough to score.

    - As mentioned, Floyd's uppercut and bodywork are excellent when he uses them, I expect him to use both and expect both to hurt Hatton on numerous occassions.

    - Both have great stamina, but Hatton's going to be taking a beating from all angles and when he's getting destroyed trying to fight his fight, he will go tentative and try to box his way in confused and continue to get shredded from a more outside stand point.

    - Hatton cuts easily.

    ...............

So everything points to a one sided Floyd Mayweather beatdown, leading to a stoppage anywhere from round 8-11 is what I am guessing. It's just ABSURD that people think that a guy without an effective jab is in the same league as the great pressure fighters, he's a rough housing swarmer and he's going to get annihilated.

    Floyd TKO 9.

Let me add something else Decebal, Hatton will be lucky to take a single round clean, that's how bad of an outclassing/shredding it's going to be.

If you were his trainer, what would you ask him to do to improve his chances?

I picture it going like Chavez, Taylor. With Hatton stopping Mayweather late in the 12th round.:bbb

P.S. I'm new here so I don't want create any backlash with my first reply.

I'd ask him if he wants the payday or his P4P status(albeit unworthy), because he's likely going to drop bigtime after he gets totally dominated and thrashed/stopped.

There is literally no advantage he brings to the table, he does not hit harder than Floyd like many think, Floyd has underrated power and just doesn't committ most of the time, he will committ on Hatton and will mess him up badly.

    This is a mismatch.

It'd be like you asking me if I was Diaconu's trainer vs. Dawson, a near mismatch, only Floyd's chin is not vulnerable at all, it's pretty damn good and Hatton can't hurt him considering Judah and DLH couldn't put him despite landing some very precise shots on his jaw.

    Diaconu can actually hurt Dawson.

Sure, no backlash, but Chavez was an elite pressure fighter with an iron jaw.

Hatton is a head first rough housing swarmer with an average jaw and cuttable face.

If Hatton takes half of what Chavez took, he will be stopped.
