When Dawson decided to come forward and throw, Pascal was overwhelmed and had no answer. He had Pascal hurt in the 11th a couple of times. Dawson gave this fight away because he wasn't aggressive enough.

bull****. Pascal had Dawson out of his element because of his gameplan. In the 11th Dawson knew he needed to go for broke and give it all he had but Pascal weathered the storm. Dawson blew his load there

To me it looked like Dawson didn't want to be be in the ring that night, he looked really odd, and he looked unmotivated. Dawson admitted too that he did not take the fight seriously and only trained four weeks for the fight, which is a very short time.

Dawson isn't really the kind of fighter who can cut the ring off and let his hands go. He likes for his opponent to come to him. Pascal had the right game plan. Took Chad out of his element.

Who the hell is Chad Dawson? The guy who schooled Johnson in the 2nd fight beats Hopkins without that much trouble, on workrate alone. The guy who collapsed mentally against Pascal and limped to a victory against Diaconu loses. I have no idea which Dawson will show up against Hopkins.

Which is why Hopkins became the aggressor against Pascal, I still think it was an off-night for Dawson.

I don't think it was an excuse, Dawson has shown in the past (and recently) that he has personal issues regarding his mental state. He seems to be lacking in confidence to perform at a high level. Dawson can be dominating the division right now if he just fought every contender without going through the hassle and politics of boxing.

:patsch you could say Pascal had two off nights against Hopkins...

    sounds like you overrate Dawson.

Styles make fights, and Pascal's style was something Dawson couldn't cope with. He's not used to that kind of movement.

I'm not overrating him, but I can see your point, Dawson did have trouble with Pascal's movement, but to say Dawson can't deal with Pascal's style, I disagree. Dawson is capable of being an aggressor and beating Pascal in a rematch.

Dawson takes this, he is better than Taylor. Dawson is the type that will trouble Bernard.
