FINAL and OFFICIAL Poll!! Joshua Clottey vs Miguel Cotto

Call me crazy, I feel Clottey will pull it off.

Cotto will land his patented body attack, but he'll have a very difficult time getting through Clottey's high guard. Clottey will be aware that Cotto is vulnerable to right hands, and will land them almost at will in this fight.

 

I'll be rooting hard for Clottey but i think Cotto will win a UD around 7-5 ish. Cotto will just be busier i think. But Clottey will have plenty of moments and make it interesting.

 

just finished watching clottey out box diego corrales.pretty good fight. if clottey fights cotto on the inside and is able to throw his menacing combos then there is a possibility that cotto might be looking at his 2nd defeat. i just got a free 3 mth trial of showtime and hbo, im ****ING pumped. this is going to be a fun fight to watch.

 

Clottey can win this, if he lets his hands go, and doesn't get rattled by Cotto's inside attack. But he tends to be a bit too economical with his punches, and I think Miguel is skilled enough to impliment his body attack to the extant where it will take some of the steam off his opponent's punches in the later rounds, allowing him to pull it out and emerge with a close decision.

 

Cotto i see winning this although i would prefer Clottey to beat him. I think if Clottey can take it past 10 Cotto may be vulernable. Although ive heard hes been doing alot of cardio so maybe this will change it? Although thats what they said about Jermain Taylor wasnt it? On the night though Cotto takes it UD

Cotto has to impose a higher workrate over clottey and win a decision

clottey has to back cotto up and walk through his punches until cotto cracks

i think cotto has the easier assignment, so cotto is my pick

 

These are good points, but not enough to sway my prediction!

Cotto's chin is not the best
Clottey has very fast hands and throws sharp, short, punches, which doesn't leave him open for counters
Clottey is the bigger man


Clottey wins by a KO or SD/MD

 

Cotto wins in an all out war and FOTY candidate.

 

I want Clottey to win, but I think Cotto will win via UD.
