I think Marquez has a good chance for the following reasons:

Many of FM's opponents tire themselves out hitting air (because of Flloyds brilliant defense) then FM takes over.

This will not be the pattern in this fight. Marquez is too smart and should have stamina to match his opponent, something FM is not used to.

Add to the fact that Marquez's deceptive speed & ring intelligence, FM's ring rust and we have a real fight.

I give you that but how about the fact that JMM has been dropped by Pacman and hurt and almost taken out by a slow fighter in Juan Diaz? Floyd's speed will be the difference and his power the icing on the cake. I like JMM but I cannot see him winning.

I don't think that Mayweather is a god. There are plenty of people out there that could give him problems or beat him. I just don't think that Marquez is one of those people. He will be fighting someone that literally has all the advantages, larger, harder puncher, faster, better defense, better chin etc.

People talk about Marquez's heart as if Mayweather is a *****. he fought Castillo with broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder, he's fought with broken hands, he's been hurt and stayed on his feet. Just because he hasn't been challenged as much people assume that he would fold when challenged.

This is a mismatch. Feel free to mark this thread and throw it back in my face if the fight is even competitive.

I never said you did, but there are some on here that do, i really think Marquez style can cause Mayweather a lot of problems especially with that long ass layoff. almost all of those advantages you said were the same ones people were saying on the DLH vs Pac fight, not comparing that one to this but a lot of people were proven wrong that size dont matter.

No one said that Mayweather is a *****, yeah he's got heart but i just think he doesn't have as much as Marquez does not to mention the hunger to win this fight.

Dont worry man i already have about 10 threads marked.:good

I guess the outcome of this poll will be official... since the thread title says so.

im gonna go for marquez - i just got a strange feeling this is gonna happen

both slow starters but floyd takes early round due to speed. Marquez gets hurt and goes intothat crazy mode where he half closes his eyes and looks angry as ****. the fight changes shape and mayweather is drawn into a war and gets ko'd in the eleventh

probably not happen and my head tels me to go with PBF cause he has most of the advantages but ive put my money on it now so im gonna stick with marquez

So far the poll shows that according to most boxing fans this is a pretty close fight. Don't see why so many people are complaining about a mismatch

I respect and love both fighters in the ring.
Should Manny Pac get by Cotto I really have no preference who his next opponent would be. Both potential fights will be huge.

But when it really comes down to it, I'll have to agree with UliUli-
My heart goes with JMM because the man is the true definition of "No Fear" and my brain goes with PBF.

Interesting thing is that I was watching PBF's glove work with his uncle on the fight preview and it looks slower than when he trained for Hatton. Perhaps at 36 he has lost some speed and mobility.

In watching Marquez in the last four years I have noticed that he does not get demoralized. Casamayor dominated him for most of the fight and was ko'd. Diaz did the same thing and was ko'd. as well. He adapted to everyting Pac threw at him. Considering the fact that Marquez is a constant threat I don't see PBF taking him lightly. I think that Marquez wont make the mistakes that Hatton made and will be more of a threat to Floyd than the one dimensional Baldomir who went 12 rounds with Floyd.

Nacho gives him a 45% chance of beating PBF so I dont see PBF easily shutting him down.

My concerns now are gloves and ring size.

PBF by UD or late round TKO although I'm putting money on PBF by stoppage. PBF is too much for JMM who is a great fighter in his own right. PBF if he's still the same is on another level. PBF will figure JMM out break him down and stop him wining easily.

I can tell two things about you from this comment one you just started watching PBF about 3 fights ago. Two you listen to PBF haters and let them form your opinion about him. Truthfully you have no clue as to what you're talking about gain some knowledge and come back when you've been properly educated.:deal
