Clottey took a compubox record number bricks to the body and face via Margarito...

And afterwards, he looked like he had just finished 12 Rounds... Of ballroom dancing.

Pac ain't starchin ****. Keep dreamin.

Clottey will whip his ass good.

Like Pac didn't have a chance against de la Hoya? Stop looking at Pac alone and stop looking at past achievements against other styles and compare him style-wise with Clottey. Also consider who Pac has faced and what effects he's had on them and they've had on him. Do same for Clottey.

It's not as easy as a fight as most think. Pac could dominate but only if Clottey has a totally bad night because even with injured hands no one has ever dominated him. Whatever gameplan Roach\Pac uses, Clottey has the tools to make it a competitive fight. Much more so than Cotto. Did you see Clottey 'running' from Cotto? No but you saw Cotto 'running' from Clottey. Pac has to be on top of his game to stand any chance of winning, any complacency and he'll lose big because Clottey is determined, hungry and highly skilled.

Can anyone really talk about the technical flaws Clottey has? He throws every punch hard, accurately, correctly and his defense is virtually impregnable. He's a technical, tactical fighter, a thinking fighter with the discipline, skills and physical abilities to execute his game plan. He doesn't rely just on his physical abilities of speed and power. He relies on tactics, discipline and technique.

He knows Pac is fast of foot and hand and has power in his hands, he knows Pac will be an elusive southpaw but he'll figure Pac out in that ring because he doesn't have any preconceived notions about Pac's weaknesses and strengths. He's not training to counteract Pac's style. He is training so he can execute his gameplan. He'll use the first round to study and figure Pac out and then adapt to make Pac fight his fight.

What happens if Pac can't get through the guard? What happens if Clottey keeps timing and counter punching him. What happens if Pac can't break Clottey down by the middle rounds?

Pac will be frustrated in this fight. He better be more disciplined than he was against Cotto otherwise he'll be playing right into Clottey's hands. Clottey wants Pac to fight on the inside and if Pac gets frustrated with landing virtually nothing and having no effect on Clottey whiles taking, not many but, hard clean shots and decides to plant his feet then he'll be in more trouble than we've ever seen him in a long time.

Pacquaio by UD. I'd be very surprised if he hurt Clottey.

Pacquiao wins 11 rounds to one or 10 rounds to 2. I only say that Joshua gonna go all the way cause I don't see why does Pac needs to push himself down the stretch to score a stoppage win if there's no way in hell this fella gonna claim anything at the end. Clottey tried everything to put some controversy in NYC last time out, sure he was taken a point for no reason but 4 Cotto's fans pressure on Arthur Mercante Jr but he tried to get that point from the judges by complaining a low blow and a rabbit punch ( when he held Cotto's arm and turned around) in the last stanza - Clottey KNEW the fight was close so why did he cried for a robbery, first it was the arm injury, then it was a robbery, next he won't have an excuse sorry to say. Clottey gets a payday, proves to be the best chin in boxing, gets battered but fights back every time he can, takes no advantage whatsoever of the weight advantage, the rest is an expected result.

What makes you think it's dangerous. Clottey is a solid big guy but he has only had on TKo in about 6 years.

There's a reason he was picked for this!

To all the people saying Pac will wipe the floor with Clottey, once more please remember that styles make fights. Remember de la Hoya-Hopkins. It's not about being a big name or being exciting against other opponents.

Pac has never fought anyone who can defend as good, with a good right hand and counter punching ability before. He hasn't fought anyone who can counter him out of a defensive stance before. He hasn't fought someone he can't hit constantly or hurt before and that's what he's facing in this fight.

A pressuring, right-handed counter puncher with a tight defense who can throw fast combinations accurately and with good power. He comes straight at you but with a guard you can't get through or around. A fighter who has never taken punishment, being hurt, wobbled or in serious trouble in any fight.

Apart from Mayweather can you name one welterweight who comes out of fights with as little damage as Clottey does? What will Pac do when he can't hurt or move Clottey? When he can't 'break Clottey down'. It'll be like Marquez I & II, like Morales I.

To those saying Clottey can't keep up with Pac's pace, please remember he kept up with Judah easily when Judah was fresh and throwing 80 punches a round. He was applying constant pressure the whole fight and didn't fight 'in spots'. He can and will adapt to Pac's style. Same as he did for Judah's fast, powerful, slick, elusive, southpaw style.

What are Clottey's options going into this fight?
Knock Pacquio out? He hasn't shown himself to be a KO puncher, plus aiming that would leave him badly exposed whenever he throws. Clottey doesn't hit as hard as Cotto and Pacquio proved he could take Cotto's punches.
Win a decision? A boxer with his activity, has little chance of winning a decision against an accurate swarmer like Pacquio.

He can weigh as much as he likes, truth is, he's not active enough. And what's more worrying is that his stamina was found lacking against Cotto. Pacquio will make it a much more intense fight than Cotto did.

Now, I'm not taking anything away from Clottey, he did lose a close decision to Cotto and he is a solid WW, problem is, he doesn't have the right tools to give Pacquio problems. Given his stamina problems, I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to move at SMW after this fight.
