"Final" Eliminator to fight Canelo: Lara vs Martirosyan

I agree Canelo didn't deserve the belt, but by no means is he a bad fighter. With or without Canelo we should be happy the best 154lbers are finally facing each other. In the end if one whether its Lara, Kirkland, or Molina dethrones Canelo then so be it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they couldn't. Canelos still a work in progress we haven't seen the best of him we've seen the best of the rest. That's why on young fighters like Canelo and Broner I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet. Canelos just reaching his prime. But I agree a prodigy ala Salvador Sanchez or Floyd Mayweather Jr he is not, but he shouldn't be underestimated. He won't be an easy fight for any 154lber.

 

This exactly. Guy is fighting former champs yes but no contenders or fellow "champs". Mosley? C'mon! He looked like crap 3 fights in a row, is 40, and is at his worse weight class in his career. Crap fight as is fighting Matty for a 154 belt and a done Cintron. I used to give him the benefit of the doubt but now since he got gifted the belt Alvarez and his team are full of BS. Guy is a joke until he gets in the 154 mix of fighting guys proven in his weight class.

Mosely was good enough for PAC a year ago, so a hyped up kid who will easily get owned by anyone like most say.. will be his "toughest fight" and canelo will be in for some trouble because Canelo is not on the Mayweather or Pacquiao level is what is said.. many even picking Shot to **** mosely to win.

We barely started getting answers because WBC jumped in and started making guys face each other.. Kirkland Molina, Angulo Kirkland, fights that probably wouldn't have been made if it wasn't for WBC ordering fights to get the best fighter to face Canelo.

Kermit Cintron was Ring #2 @ 154 five months prior to the Alvarez fight. Did he fall all the way out of your top 20 in that span by virtue of losing a UD to Carlos Molina and winning a UD vs. Antwone Smith?

 

Ryan Rhodes hasn't been a single world class fighter.

Cintron has 1 notable win above 147(Angulo) He wasn't a top 5 JrMW or even a top 15

 

I think the Rhodes win for Alvarez is extremely underrated, but Cintron's ranking by The Ring was absolutely preposterous. I think they even had him at 1 at one point once they finally took Martinez off the list. The magazine's rankings at 154 have been poor for ages, even worse than they've been at 160 and 175.

 

Molina is a lesser fighter than Canelo and he gave your boy plenty of problems while beating him. Or did you forget that big gift he got??
