I have to be honest, I kinda felt sorry for Pascal watching that. Hopkins played the role of the bully and it seemed to have really got to the champion. It was like being back in school, watching the meanest kid on the playground go and snatch the ball from the shy kid, and refuse to give it back. Pascal's face when squared up, said it all. It may not mean much, but Hopkins got under his skin far too easily. Pascal should have stayed calm and said something like..."It's ok. You can keep it for the time being. On Saturday night it's going to be mine anyway"
Hopkins changed Taylor for the worse. After those fights Taylor started to lack confidence in himself and you could tell it on his face after the first fight. Hopkins is a master of mindgames but this doesn't guarantee a win, scoring punches and being the better ring general does. He got a draw in another man's hometown but Mercado is no Pascal.
Oh and quote me on this but Hopkins ain't ko'ing Pascal. I'm a big Hopkins fan but no KO or TKO is gonna happen. Pascal doesn't quit and can be quite mobile at times. This conference looks like Hopkins has got him but I'll just see how the fight plays out. Pascal loves to talk(not trashtalking but just talk) at a conference like he did with Froch & Dawson so it's strange to see him like this. May the best man win because I'm a fan of both.
